was my senior year when we had this 'spring break'. at first i was really happy about it, then when my school announced we won't be on campus anymore it really did suck. i was really excited as for seniors we were going to have prom and go to universal studios, a great way to end my high school life. i wanted to cherish my last year as much as i could. but, of course covid really did cut everything in half. i just wish i knew that march would be the last time i'll be on campus, so i could do the things i wanted to do before my high school life ended

My friend/co-worker Jeremy Richman had moved himself and his family to Connecticut in the early 2000s. He had a lovely little girl around 2006 and she attended Sandy Hook. Her name was Avielle.. I was in the Army and remember leaving Germany the same day I heard the news.. Jeremy's little girl was taken. This hit much harder because I was a new father at the time and my first son had just turned 1. Jeremy co-founded the Avielle Foundation, which was a non-profit that had a lot to do with mental health. He took his own life in 2019. Now my kids are 8 and 12. I kiss them goodnight and tell them I love them, every night. I tell them I love them every time I drop them off at school.. you never know if that'll be the last.

i had multiple suicidal attempts. i cried every night. this man made me feel like nothing is holding me there. i was ready to end it all because i wanted him to know how i felt because my tears never meant anything to him. i forgave him. today he hurt me again and in attempt of asking of apology(yes, I it was me who asked, he never said it) he said “i have a right to ignore you and i will” and “bye”. i’ve been crying for 3 hours straight and and it doesn’t seem to stop. i have wonderful friends, i have 7 rats & dog, i have my family, i have plans for future but he always makes me want to stop trying. to give up. he left me alone after hurting me. something is changing in me this night. this is actually the first time i don’t have suicidal thoughts. it still hurts like hell. it still burns in my chest. but this time i choose to stay. i choose to try. i won’t give up. i hope every person on earth who suffers this night will find their happiness. after all sleepless nights, we deserve this. 💫

I remember me and my girl got in a major argument on call on discord and she ended up crying real bad and I could see she was playing this on Spotify and I just remembered thinking "omg stop being so emo" and a few years later we broke up and I just came crawling back to this song and every time I hear it I think of all the times we were arguing and realizing it was always my fault and I never even bothered to comfort her, infact I would even get mad at her for crying it's just hitting me how much of a terrible person I was and how much my poor baby had to put up with for multiple years. Alexcia if you're reading this, I love you, I'm sorry for everything I put you through, you were just a poor loving girl who got with a terrible person. You don't deserve that, no one does. A few years ago I was messing around with a friend before he got deployed, we got into a fight and stopped talking to eachother. 2 months later I found he was KIA. I didnt get to have a decent memory with him before he was gone forever.

I quit hallucinogenics a couple of years ago. My god. I feel high listening to this song. Thanks beach house, you were there for me during a wild time in my life. I will always appreciate you. Sober for 1 year now no drugs. But seriously. This might be the one band I actually love. Not my favorite band, but the band I love the most which may not make sense.

Before my older brother was born my parents had another child. He was very sick when he was born. He only lived 3 days after he was born. My dad got some severe depression after his death, which to me is shocking because in most of my memories of him he is always a happy man. I sometimes wonder how much my life would’ve changed if he was alive, if I had the chance to meet and live with him, alongside my older brother and my parents. Today would’ve been his 22nd birthday. I’m a fucking monster…I have demons and struggles and mental health issues…. But my son still sees the pure heart that’s guarded and scarred from years of suffering. My boy tells me he loves me, even after I’ve flown off the handle and screamed at him…. It’s devastating loving someone so much and being unable to adequately put it forward for them. I didn’t have a loving father so…this is a first for me and I try my ass off to be the best dad that I can and…no matter how hard I work, I feel like I’m not doing enough…even with therapy…even being the sole provider…it’s hard. But my son keeps me here…

Listened this song on the way rushing to my girl when she was giving birth to my son, now he’s 2 and still listening. Listen the songs that you know that they will bring back your golden memories.

This song makes you feel sad but happy, brings memories of real events also brings memories of dreams you forgot you had or maybe they're memories of a past life you forgot.

Me and my friend use to stay up all night getting high, playing Runescape listening to his Playlist and beach house was in there. He introduced me to them and they've been a favorite ever since.
