I don't see enough outraged people to seriously dignify the claim of a horrible James Cameron film. I definitely see it with The Last Jedi. But all Avatar and Titanic haters are too small in number to make me sit back and question my love for his movies.

I hate Titanic as a story. I love everything about the ship itself though. I wish he had concentrated more on that aspect instead of focusing on two completely unlikable characters since I didn't really care what happened to either one of them. However, it was directed brilliantly and it's a beautiful movie to look at. But I still don't like it as a film. I love everything else he's made though and he's one of my favorite directors.

Cameron is very passionate on set, he wants things to be done the right way, and he does not care how he gets the shot, as long as he gets it. But when he is not making a film he is the most humble kind man, just a guy loving to have a good time, tell jokes and live life.

I tend to just resolve the John Connor paradox by thinking that in the way that events first happened John had a different father, possibly the douche who stood Sarah up in T1. When John sent Reese back and T1 happened the original John wasn't concieved and John #2, Kyle's son, is the John we see in T2-Salvation.

Time-travel is a headache of a topic to debate because it gets so confusing. This is the argument I've had with people in the past, because they cannot understand (or accept) at one point the John Connor we know would never had existed until say someone went back. The timeline in the original film was most likely not the original timeline, James Cameron basically just said what I say is several events occurred before leading to the story we know today. The funny thing is Skynet might not have been the problem at the start, that's how strange time-travel can get!!!

You see, this is why I respect this guy, he actually knows enough about theoretical physics to give more than a shrug when it comes to possible solutions to the grandfather paradox (not to mention the fact that he put himself in mortal danger and explored the friggin Marianna trench).

For me, James Cameron is one of the best directors in the history of cinema. He knows how to tell a story, he doesn't allow the special effects to over shadow the plot or the characters...this man should have been given the reigns to the star wars sequel trilogy.

Well put. Sequels get "bigger" and it's to their detriment. You need something grounded in reality to make the action have weight. When nothing is realistic, it's hard to feel any tension.

please do a movie based on the manipulation of quantum superposition in where a group alters the past by mathematically predicting the outcome of said manipulation to their benefit, but obviously something goes wrong and now they either must survive what they have done, or attempt to alter it back. If they do attempt to fix what they caused have it spin off into a sequel by ending the first movie in a cliffhanger. Perhaps they fixed their mistake but paved way to the creation of a super virus or induced forced evolution... idk that last topic you hit on had me day dreaming of the possibilities.

Orxan7 The Alien franchise should end. I personally like prometheus and love covenant. But I just don't see a spot where they can make another good movie. I consider promethus the start of the franchise and Aliens the end. Alien 3 and Resurrection are just non-canon fanmade films in my head.
