I think a lot of people forget how good Buddy was. Most associate him with being Gatti's trainer, but he was an amazing 140 pound fighter. Awesome video, Hanza.
And now McGirt has his Phenomenal kid. Janibek Alimkahnuly from Kazakhstan. He was a great boxer, now he has an opportunity to become a great coach, that kid is phenomenal. World AIBA and Asian Games Champion. He's got school, got style, got talent and he has Buddy McGirt in his corner.
Just seen an interview where Robert Garcia says he was a great champion and I came here to check him out. Damn what a fighter. He switched from defending and attacking so seamlessly.

Really really really underrated. Great counter puncher. Didn't just make guys miss but came back with something.
To be a world welterweight champion is quite an accomplishment :)
Decided to remake my McGirt highlight because my other one was taken down due to copyright issues.

Hi man buddy was good love watching him one of my favorites!!
CANT BELIEVE I DIDNT KNOW HE USE TO BE A WORLD CHAMPION BOXER. HE WAS RAW TOO!
Fantastic video. One of the best! Thanks for posting.
A super Elite boxer , not many roam the earth
shout out to mcgirt! alibek is in the master's hands with this trainer
Boxing back in the days is way different.
Set to a great beat, thank you
Slick, skilled craftsman.
I grew up watching this Buddy as a professional and later on met him at an amateur boxing exhibition in L.A. A genuinely humble guy.
Sweet video. Still one of my favorite boxers. Scrappy fighter with a mean left hook to the body and head also that sneaky right cross surprised many fighters he faced. Buddy had great set ups for his punches. Technically sound fighter.
his left hooks on point
wow buddy mcgirt wasn't no joke
Buddy was AWESOME!

Excellent warrior 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful, taking 📝
Dang buddy!
Now that's a boxer
Ferocious!! like a pitbull, little Marvin Hagler!
would love to see a fantasy match with him against Aaron Pryor. Both pack punches with extra sauce.
PEACE BRO. BUDDY HAD MAJOR SKILLS. HIS LONG ISLAND 2 PIECE WAS CRISPY WITH THE EXTRA ADDED HOOK TO MAKE THE PERFECT COMBO DEAL. TOUGH.
If not for a couple of bad breaks, he may have gone down in history as one of the all time greats

I mean he was considered pound for pound best in the world at the time.
Buddy is my all time favorite boxer I like Tyson but buddy showed us the whole science of boxing if you combined Tyson Ali and jones jr together and packaged them as a middle or welter weight you get Buddy mcgirt, just a smart savy boxer who can go 16 rounds and not be unrecognizable after. It’s unfortunate fighters get old like everyone else.
this vid was so hard to find for some reason
