One thing I like about Reddick's interviews is that he asks the question and lets his guests answer without a lot of interruption and talking over them. He finished his question at 0:33 and we don't hear his voice again until 6:22. That's so refreshing in this sports podcast interview space, well, podcast interview space in general.

I’m glad JM shared how MJ helped him. Often times, the narrative about MJ is he didn’t share with the next generation. Bird and Magic saved it. MJ was the league. To think how that man went through all of that fandom, media, always dressed to the nines. Gave us fans all he had EVERY GAME. I can’t thank him enough. It was a time. His ora then and even now is unmatched, IMO!

Even weeks leading up to the match they referenced Kobe as the next Mike. In interviews and in game commentary. The master teaching the student. Kobe was always mentioned as the next Mike. Even copied Mike and was the only one to actually be like Mike. Kobe must have cooked mashburn during out his career or something. No way dude would purposely not mention Kobe 🤣🤣🤣

TF you mean Labron James was the next MJ? Kobe was the second coming of MJ, down to style of play and almost in championships. Kobe had a dynasty, winning 5 chips and going to 7 over 11 years. It's disrespectful not only to Kobe, but also to MJ to say Brons 3.5 chips in 21 seasons won through free agency collusion was the second coming of MJ. Kobe allowed the next generation of fans witness what it was like to watch MJ.
