You made my day son was touching The dad was DEFINITELY moved 😂
Growing up my parents never told me they loved me so it feels awkward to tell them I love them 😢

Nah I think this is a Caribbean thing 😂😂 I’m a belizean (Belize🇧🇿) and when I tell my mom I love her, she wa ask me “weh yuh want” or “weh yuh do now “😂
I told my mom for the first time at 18 years old , she didn’t respond the first couple times but I’m 24 now and we say it after evey phone call , get them use to it 🎉🎉🎉

True because our parents are from a different generation and upbringing and rough livity.
I knew tht would be the reaction for most jamaican parents so a wah, A wah happen now 😂😂😂
I’m Belizean, I had a Jamaican co worker that would take me home after work, he was cool and funny we just became buds at work and I accidentally said “ love you!” As I was getting out the car😆 I was so embarrassed! 🥴he laughed and was like it’s ok😆I’m just used to saying it in my family we say it after everything damn near 😂 and we hug! 🤗 big up Jamaica!!! And all Jamaican! I LOVE YALL!!!! 😍😁💜💜
I told my friend’s dad recently that I loved him (my dad passed and he took on the role) and he called me back a couple days later to say he appreciated me telling him that because he needed to hear that that day. Show people that you love them and tell them as often as you can.
As a black father of Caribbean descent, I’d like to encourage the kids to do this more often. It’s hard out here and we often feel disrespected by the world. When our kids tell us randomly that they love us it makes us feel ten feet taller. Don’t wait for Fathers Day. Do it now.😊

It works both ways too. Parents need to be telling their children the same.

I'd like to encourage black fathers to tell their children that they love them. It's hard out there in the world, and it would be nice for their children to know that their fathers actually love them.
Jamaica needs more of this 🇯🇲.awww that dad that said he loves his son & was at prayer meeting. Love this Chad!
This was heartwarming and made me smile a lot, tomorrow isn't promised. Traveling the world I noticed Jamaica lacks giving affection and expressing love, especially publicly.

You Americanized goofballs. Jamaicans don't have to say it. It's expressed in many other ways. Some of us love our traditional ways.

@@NP70seAnd may I ask, what ways are these?
To all my Jamaicans, Let's make telling our parents a regular practice so they don't think it's strange..lol... This was amazing it touched me so much.. Sending my love to all the people in the comments.
It’s crazy in our culture love is unspoken and that parents think something serious happen when their children say I love you. I wish it was different in our culture but one thing we know Jamaican parents guh hard fi dem pikney. This made me tear up.
This is same for Trinidad and Tobago. Caribbean parents are truly unique due to our experiences. I tell my daughter I love her all the time and I feel more comfortable telling friends love you than my own parents and siblings cuz it was never normalized in my home.
This made my heart smiled ❤ the second young lady in the video her mom passed away a few weeks ago. I’m so happy she was able to express to her how much she loved her ❤

Aww so sad but at least she told her.
There’s been occasions where I say “I love you” to my mum and she replies back with “Thank you” 😂😂 cause I wasn’t as close with my dad compared to my mum, I found it awkward to say “I love you” to my dad, I said it a couple of times. But now that he has passed away I wish I had vocalised that more often. Don’t let the awakwardness, or anything get in the way. Life is too short, and tomorrow is not promised.

That is so relatable and I'm really sorry for your loss. Continue to stay strong and spread love ❤
These parents are funny as heck...... 💕
Wow! Jamaican parents love their children differently. You know they love you by the sacrifices they make. They show love by hustling each day to ensure their children show up to school, looking well, and having all their books. Younger people are changing the culture though. That's a good thing. It's important for children to hear those words and reciprocate the sentiments. I try my best to tell my son multiple times each day. It's also heartwarming when he says it to me.
0:56 EXACTLY what my father would say! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jamaican parents are sooooo uncomfortable with the words, I love you. Smhh Most of friends have the same experience. Our grandparents never told our parents that they love them.
We need to normalize this as Jamaicans. Usually it's known that we love each other but saying it often makes the other think something is wrong
Let mi tell u something, Jamaicans show love they don’t say it unless it’s absolutely necessary but if u notice everyone of the parents were ready to do something for their kids hence for Jamaicans love you is a verb ❤😂
Mummy woulda think a dead me a dead if me do this

Extremely refreshing to watch because sometimes we forget that these small things matter most. Keep it up Chad 🤍🙏🏾
Awww.. this was so wholesome. It's so rare to hear "I love you" that most parents thought something was wrong. Looking forward to seeing this at other locations (towns, parishes). Spread the love bro😊
It’s the, “a wa happen” in every other call😅

Growing up in Jamaica in my household we never used the words I love you or hug each other. However we express it in different ways for example my older sister if you mess with her she would cussed you out and often times people would try to fight her because of the hurtful things she would say to them but I have always got her back because I love her and wouldn’t allow anyone to hurt her even when I’m mad at her.😊
I’m Jamaican and it would never be this weird or awkward to tell any of my parents I love them. I grew up in a loving home so I suppose that explains it. We tell each other we love them. Even my siblings and I tell each other we love them. One of my brother tells me he loves me every time we talk. It needs to be practiced more. Parents asking what’s wrong, curious. It’s clearly not said or practiced enough.
3:35 You van tell the father really appreciated that🥰☺️, compared to the previous mother with the daughter😬😅😭
The number of parents that think there's an agenda behind the show of "I love you's ... Those calls touched differently today..❤
Do more of these Chad. Funny and emotional at the same time.
It was a wholesome video. I'm blessed to still have parents who I can tell, I love you, Mom/Dad.
I’m from Honduras my parents never said it when we were growing up. My husband and I tell our kids we love them everyday which I think helped my parents say it now that I’m 40. Better late than never
This made me emotional! 😢❤
This was one of the most heart warming KZread episodes ever. Thanks
Loved this❤... putting smiles on parents.... we need more of these videos out there
Jamaican parents never fail...dem a guh feel seh sumpten wrong
Also because we dont practice to do this it comes off strange to some. but those who say it daily big up. love the whole food donating thing as well.

I started doing this in college, my first time away from home. I'm in my 30s now. Thank you for the wholesome video.
Jamaican parents want to know what’s wrong when they hear “ I love you.” Let’s tell them more often. A lot of that generation never heard those words.
Bwoy the parents them suspicious sah😂..what do you? You alright?😂. Lovely video Chad❤
This was actually funny and sweet at the same time lol 😂
This is sooo cool!!! I’m soo proud of all the people who rang their parents publicly and told them that they loved them, and the parents who affirmed their kids in saying it back!!! 🎉 awww 🥰 😍- it’s really touching!

This was absolutely beautiful, Knowing my mom wasn’t there for me growing up and my dad gone bout him damn bizniz, I didn’t get love from either of them much less if tell mi dem love mi, it would be very awkward to say I love you to them. I care for my two girls very much, tell and gives them as much love as possible.
Love this Chad we need to express our love ❤to our parents more.

My parents never told me that ,but I know they loved me from their hearts. I tell my kids every now n then.
This made me smile ❤😊🙏🏽
Love this video ✊🏿🔥🔥🔥 Well done and thank you it made me laugh and cry at the same time. I grew up never hearing ' I love you' from my Mama.....i knew she did by the way she treated me, i felt it... but she didn't utter the words until i was a grown woman and even then, she only said it when i encouraged her to... she found it so awkward because she was never told by her parents. Now i have children and from the day they were born I've told them i love them right up until now, theyre in their 30s. Every single time we speak or see each other we utter those priceless words. Its standard and normal for us...i have broken that cold tradition. Love conquers Everything.
This is amazing video we Jamaican need to do this more
Aww this is so sweet.. I love to see this love being spread. And I absolutely love their accents.. Much love from London,UK.. ❤
This was awesome. Lets put love out their in the atmosphere more often. The enemy hates it, he can't ant survive in a condition where love exists.
Smile I just found your channel keep doing what you're doing much love from California ❤
