I just followed this recipe to the T and OMG this curry is sooooooo good!!!! I went to our local Caribbean spot and purchased the curry powder… This was my first time making curry and I feel like I'm eating it directly from the islands mmmmmmmm, CANT TELL ME NOTHING!!! I Made this years ago and make it this way anytime I am craving Jamaican Curry I made this once years ago when I lived in South Florida and gave it to a Buddy of mine who is from Jamaica when he tried it he said what place you get this from dis some good Curry he said it would be better with Goat lol I agreed and told him I made it he said really yup it is that good people sometimes think that when you make something the more ingredients the better but sometime the simpler the better this is simple and Delicious and easy to make you have to try this if it is your first time ever eating Jamaican Curry you will not be dis Pleased

Looks so good! This is more like the way i cook Jamaican curry chicken, but after frying, I smother it in the oven, for a deep glaze and a juicy richer flavor.Then i serve over brown rice along with a prefered butterd green veggie

Verry good recipe... just made it, but with chicken wings... tasted deicious. Modified some of the fresh ingredients, used minced and powder garlic... and dry thyme.. but still tasted wonderful! and i couldnt find any Scotch bonnet peppers, but i used orange habenero and it still tasted okay. But im on a search for the real one.. my mom has some, but its cold and didnt feel like getting them!

good video. clear, easy instructions and everyday ingredients. my jamaican friend cooks or 'burns' the curry, oil, onion, and garlic at the bottom of the pot before he adds the chicken. he says so the curry won't hurt the stomach. is this true? why would the curry do that?

btw, if you find that some of the caribbean curry powders are a little bitter, you can use plain curry power, or half and half :)

We cook our chicken a likkle different . After cleaning the chicken we boil some water and pour it on the chicken. This helps the chicken cook faster and also helps it from being undercooked

just a side note, if you use scotch bonnet peppers use gloves...if the oil from the pepper get on your skin it will burn like crazy. I learned this the hard way on my last trip to Jamaica

Hi. When I was in Jamaica, we used to have liver and dumplin for breakfast. I loved it so much and I can't get the taste out of my head! But when I try to cook it myself, something just isnt right. I cant find any recipes on the internet at all. Does anyone out there know how to cook this dish??? I would really appreciate your help :)
