@@icantgetup When Larry and Magic came into the NBA The League was Bankrupt. It was about over for the next level after College. Bird joined a losing Celtic Team with some greats but at the end of their careers. Same team minus a bench player and Larry Bird. He took that team to the playoffs his first year. The Indiana St and Michigan State tin this day was the most watched College Finals Game in History. Bird and Magic's Rivalry brought millions of New Fans to the NBA. Their games became the most watched games in NBA History. So when Jordan came into the League those Fans were already there to take in Jordan and yes I am sure Jordan after his first three or four years brought fans into the League but just a drop in the Bucket compared to the fans Bird and Magic brought to a League that they did in just one year. There is absolutely no comparison to the Greatness Magic and Bird brought to the NBA. You see most fans of the NBA today which is getting smaller and smaller every year. Yes Curry is great but again the League is losing millions of fans just the past two years. People are sick of the Woke BS. And people don't respect the players as a whole. So today's League is a drag and rule changes didn't help. The League was the greatest and most loved in the 80's.

I would argue that of former great players, he's arguably the most successful coach/GM outside of Jerry West. Ozzie Newsome is the only one that might rank ahead of him. Both were consistent excellent in the role but Ozzie won a chip & Larry hasn't. John Elway won a chip too but they've been terrible ever since

True... very very true... if he was in his prime and playing he would go berserk on that young Kobe and would probably score endlessly right in the face of everyone... not to mention that he would have the nerve to even trash talk Shaq until the dinosaur started losing his mind and playing way worse... Larry was the definition of a winner and champion... killer on the court, had more guts than any other man we've ever seen, technically close to perfect (very underrated there... we hear people saying he was slow and mediocre compared to players like Jordan, Lebron, Kobe etc... BULLSHIT... his skill was through the roof)... Also Larry could possibly be the best passer of all time cause assists are not the measurement for passing ability... Larry's passes were legendary... their difficulty and skill level requirement was the highest I've ever seen and it's not even close... he just didn't play for numbers... if he did he could average 40 12 and 13 every night, playing selfish and losing more... what? no?

Jalen was right. He was on his way to NBA purgatory until he got to the Pacers. Now he is in the Pacers Ring of Honor and does not have to ever buy a drink in this state in his life. After Reggie and Victor, Jalen is probably the third most beloved Pacer in the last 30 years. Possibly a tie between him and Lance Stevenson. He was a REAL crowd favorite when he was here. The most ironic part is the same Pacers fans in Indiana probably hated Jalen when he was at Michigan just a few years earlier. But yeah, Larry Bird saved his basketball career.

Jalen Rose played some legit D on Jordan in the conference finals in like 98 or 99. Jordan can't be stopped, but you couldn't play him better than Rose did IMO. He didn't foul him a bunch and give him free points at the line. I knew Rose was for real when I saw him play D on Jordan.

I never forget traveling back to San Francisco , California from Upstate New York and having a layover in Detroit...during my layover I'm at my Gate waiting to board the plane and who do I see I see Jalen Rose with two other dudes with him waiting to board on the same plane that I was taking to California, they didn't even have first class seats, they went right by me where I was sitting towards the back of the plane...this was in 1994, the year that Jalen was drafted into the NBA...his career was about to begin...I kept scratching my head wondering why Jalen Rose was going to San Francisco, then it dawned on me maybe he's going to go and visit Chris Webber who at that time was playing for the Golden State Warrior's...sure enough we all went to the baggage claim area and went outside waiting to be picked up, I kept my distance this whole time not bothering Jalen one time...my two good friend's pulled up to pick me up and I told them look there's Jalen Rose...one of the Famous Fab Five players from Michigan they were as happy as I was to see him....within minutes we see a hunter green Mercedes Benz playing loud bumping music coming our way pulling up stops where Jalen and his two friends were waiting and who gets out of the Benz....Chris Webber, yup C.W, I was right. . ..Webber pop's his trunk still playing loud music they all hug each other....me and my homies wave and say what's up to ALL of them and then they drive off....I said to my two homies...." Those Guy's ARE Going To Webber's House in the Bay Area to PARTY for Day's....LMAO !!!!
