Brunson’s dribble tempo is such a small detail that leads to his success. Top of the key he slows it down processing the defense catching defenders off guard and then blows past them. I’m not sure anyone else in the league has the ability to change dribble tempo so quickly and dramatically.

At times i thought Kelly played exceptional defense, I just don't get how Kelly, Nicholas, and Harris kept being put in jail forcing Embiid to make tough defensive decisions in the paint. Making Embiid play that anchor role knowing he's not used to that. Reed stood no chance in those situations either. So it was a very tough series for Philly to overcome.

He just stops on a dime. Forces the defender into tough positions. Trae Young does the same thing. I personally hate complaining about refs because the whole NBA game is about manipulating advantages. Some players manipulate angles others manipulate the legislation of a particular game. The great ones do both and know how and when to deploy each strategy. Complaining about “foul baiting”, no matter who does it, is silly to me.

Brunson is a great talent.
