On KZread just saw a David Letterman interview they showed a clip of young Richard played the lead role in the Grease London musical. He does sing, talented on live theater, then moved on to movies became a star. Very talented.

What peopl dosen´t know is that Gere starts FIRST as musical theatre singer/dancer/actor and then he went to movies. Does anyone have the full record of the song? I like reggae music, and he sang it pretty well. Even better than on Chicago.

Is Richard Gere really singing here or voice overdubbed? This is the only youtube video that is supposedly showing Richard Gere singing and actually playing guitar, as of Sept 20, 2012. Why no other videos of him playing live if he is this good? I know he is a guitar collector, but not sure if he actually plays guitar (proficiently).
