You can tell in this Interview its still a little hard for him to drop the character completely. He really did go full method with this role specifically.

the interviewer didn't seem to really be listening or taking his answers seriously. calling his response diplomatic as if he didn't give a real answer. good on jake for being patient and setting the record straight with that.

This dude is still in character, the way he defends him is crazy. He hasn't gotten off the method acting yet at this point, he's still living the character. Damn

Jake should have a few by now. Nightcrawler is an amazing movie. Jake is such a versatile actor.

I struggle to see the similarities between me and Lou bloom If he is meant to be me when have I ever filmed footage of people Or sent it to a news channel I wouldn’t do that If he’s based on my behaviour in 2013 - 2014 And I feel great sympathy to the character Lou, he’s a very lonely man who I just have sympathy for He is sick and he is menacing But he’s also a person who’s had enough of everything

At least, at his age there has an equality to access any Kinda information.

I’ve got manners and respect

I don't fully agree with him. Of course on the surface one would say that knowing the political situation is more important than a cat. But I think you need to go a step beyond that. The problem with political news is that for the most part you're reading about stuff you cannot really do anything about. Yes, you can vote once every four years but about the day-to-day things in politics you cannot do anything unless you enter politics yourself. So you're constantly dealing with things outside of your control, which is frustrating and mentally unhealthy. Therefore, for people's sanity, I think it's good to care about such trivial things as a cat as well.

He’s a tragic character? He’s a psychopath Who’s destructive power is only limited by his opportunity. A manipulative prick who takes sexual advantage of an older woman, kills his employee and commits crimes….and gets paid for it. There’s lots of bad people in the film but none worse than the character who profits off of societal misery. The murderers are worse in the short term but perhaps it’s only a matter of time before Bloom will surpass their body count.
