I'm sure this house is extremely expensive due to its location, but it just feels so normal and not excessive, warm and lovely.

Maggie is amazing and very down to Earth I'm not at all surprised her home is so lovely, cozy and "normal", not like one of those celebrity houses that look like a hotel. They have a rescue cat as well

@@becca2938 It's no a point of abusive, it's dismissive. He never held it close; held it at a distance and quite awkwardly as if he didn't have a clue or a care about handling a cat. And if a cat means anything to you, you don't just DROP it on the floor like a piece of garbage. It's all in the body language. Methinks it was rescued just so they could say "Oh, look, we have a rescue!"

They are such a perfect couple, even with their tastes with their home. What a match. And the fact they both work in Hollywood. How brave, how smart. I wish them nothing but happiness and joy.

Can't help thinking there is harmony in that family; nice warm voices and demeanors. I like the fact they are not obsessed to have all things color-coordinated... all posh or white/light colored. The house interior seems very warm and cozy.

Of all the celebrity homes featured by AD, this is my personal favorite, because it shows characters and feels like those people actually live and entertain in this house. Many LA homes are like for catered parties only - all the designs would be just for show. But this house, you can tell that the owners actually enjoy the rooms and every little things are hand picked.

This is the funniest episode of Portlandia I've ever seen!

I love the fact they consider how comfortable their house would be to host guests, and how many people they could have sleeping over. Growing up with a big Asian family my mum always considered that in mind, we would constantly have our cousin's staying over for the holidays and making sure there was enough space for people to sleep was super important.

Brooklyn has become incredibly expensive. Two bedroom apartment in my neighborhood go for 4,750- 5,000 per month.

Their bed is just a regular bed like most of our homes, I love that! They are so down to earth

It's not my style decor but I love how they do it, piece by piece. And it's all beautiful. My people are Scandi, too so I am all about the simple teak and fireplaces everywhere, meaningful art and used candles.

So true!!! There are all kinds of shelters and rescue efforts for dogs but not cats. I have rescued so many over the years and just rescued two little brothers that were found on the side of the road that someone had dumped out. I live in south and couldnt resist naming them Rambo and Gunner ...LOL ..Gunner is a hunter and loves to play Rambo is the lover and just wants to be loved. I wouldnt take a million dollars for my other cat Sumo that I have had for 10 years. He has saved my life. I use to have these frequent seizures and he would alert me about 10 or 15 min before the happened and I would take my meds prevented the episode to be worse. He knew just by the change in my heart rate and would climb up in my lap and start pressing on my chest as if to get my heart to beat correctly. He is also a rescue cat. Bless you for taking an interest in cats!

I love this couple. Great actors in their own right but they are so in tune with each other - they finish each others sentences. Thats a good sign. I believe they are soulmates - it shows in their eclectic home

Absolutely loved this episode. Reminded me of visitng my friends homes as a kid. Great decor, classic and so are they. Awesome couple vibes 😁

Although the overall decor is not necessarily to my taste, this is one of my fav Open Door videos because they're two of the best actors around and they're so chill and real. Their house reflects that- it's very unpretentious, cozy and them. Fav room is the garden level kitchenThere's something very comforting about watching their tour.

“I played the theremin in a movie” I love that call back to Frank!! One of my favourite movies. Also nice nano garden!

You can tell this house is based off of their personality and I love seeing that in a home. Is it my style? Unfortunately not but hey to each their own! They have to live in it not me haha.

there is a little heaviness in the house when you look at. then you feel there is an entity somewhere

How the natural daily light is combined with residential occasion is amazing.

Looks aesthetically pleasing but weirdly uncomfortable--not sure why exactly.

drownsoda it simply amazes me how people totally ignore air pollution. All those wood burning fireplaces. If all the neighbours did that it would rical air quality of Bejing. I am surprised it is allowed in the city. montreal is going smokeless. Has to before we all suffocate.......

@@michellebadillo7574 Cabins are in the middle of the forest without air pollution. Same can't be said for NYC, with a dense population. Middle of nowhere vs. urban area.

Rox E thanks Rox E. i agree. Watched another episode with Liev Schreiber and he put in a wood burning FP as well. He even jokes that he put something in incorrectly and the smoke billows in the room if you open the glass doors. And he shows us on the video. I am sorry but this needs to end. He is in NYC as well. Again ban the things in cities that are large.....

Ruby's Magnificent been married for a pretty long time.

I first saw Maggie in her first major feature film, "Secretary." I'd never seen her before, but I looked at my wife and said: "This woman is going to be a big star." She walked right by me when I was shopping in Manhattan, and she was one of the most charismatic women I have ever seen. She has this kind inner magnetism that is truly undeniable. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home in Brookaleen with us!

As a 70 year old movie, entertainment fan I must say that Maggie & Peter are the perfect couple similar to Jeff Bridges & his beautiful wife, Kurt Russell, "You sure have a nice body" to Goldie, & not many others? Take care in this science fiction movie we are living in.

You literally cannot tell they have two little kids, where is all their stuff?!
