People are going to hate me for this. In my opinion he’s the best Ozzy guitarist

If Rhoads was never with Ozzy, this man would get all the credit Rhoads always got. To me, Jake E. Lee (isn’t that the coolest name ever?!) wrote better riffs, and equally good solos. His stage presence is unmatched. He just had the bad luck of living in Rhoads’ shadow. One of the best to ever do it in my book.

"I don't need a bar, I can do stupid shit just with my hands." Love it. Jake is the man.

I was Jake's tech from 84-87 OZZY years and I remember going to Charvel with Jake and standing in the paint booth when the blue and purple burst bodies were being painted. Jake was telling the painter what he wanted as it was being painted.

I was in an arts high school when Jake was newly popular....all of us guitarists were impressed by his 'no whammy bar' technique....and, Jake was a showman on stage....dude was and is cool.....

Waiting For Darkness is quite literally the most underrated Ozzy/Jake E Lee song ever written. Give it another listed, because it's truly a masterpiece.

Jake was a bad-ass when he first played with Ozzy, and is still a bad-ass. One of my favorite players of all time.

Total respect for this man. Jake is one of those rare musicians that can somehow tap into another realm and channel it to the mortal world through his playing.

One thing that i noticed from this video, he didn't go "this is better than that", instead he admitted that the reason he puts certain parts on his sig is because that's his preferences and respect other people's opinion

I met Jake E Lee years ago when Badlands was touring. Super down to earth, very friendly, and an absolute monster player. Wish him nothing but the best. ;o)

Jake E Lee was the reason I bought a Charvel after years of being a Gibson SG guy. Still love an SG but the Charvel I got for half the price of a Gibson can do everything from Jazz to Metal and I absolutely love it. Also The Ultimate Sin Album and Badlands are criminally underrated.

Always loved RR on the Ozzy records, who didn't? Bought Bark at the Moon when it came out, and became an instant Jake fan, and still am to this day. As far as I'm concerned, Jake was the key or bridge to extending Ozzy's career, with his incredible guitar licks and personality.

I saw Jake E. Lee with Ozzy on the Bark at the Moon tour at San Diego Sports Arena, probably in '83 or '84. RATT opened the show. My buddy and I went mainly to see RATT because they were one of the up and coming bands and we loved their debut EP. We liked Ozzy but weren't sure about this new guitarist he had. Losing Randy Rhoads was devastating and who could replace Randy Rhoads anyway? Well, that Ozzy show was so fucking good and largely because Jake E. Lee was so goddamned good on stage. Not just playing but movement, rocking out, stage presence, look, etc. He had it all. Came away a huge Jake E. Lee fan after that night.

He deserve being at the top instantly, his songs and guitar plays keep Ozzy floating again after demised RR. The BOTM is still Ozzy's most popular song.
