Both Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal are fantastic actors in their own right and it's nice to see that they clearly get on as well together because not every brother and sister do.

I grew up watching Maggie when she stared on Nanny McPhee returns and one other movie that I can’t remember but I didn’t know Jake and her were siblings. It made me love them even more cause they are such great actors.

Joy Turner it's amazing that you people claim this is sexism. The women - most of them, anyway - are wearing elaborate,uncomfortable gowns. And the men are all wearing penguin suits. They're dressed the same, for the most part. And the women are strutting around on medieval torture devices designed by men to make a woman's butt look bigger to a man. They're the ones perpetuating sexism. They're providing the answers to questions that are only put to them later

Oopss7 so you are saying it's Maggie's fault to get that question as she's wearing something more elaborated than Jake? And she wouldn't have got a '(ew) what are you wearing?', had she slipped into something less elaborated and more comfortable? Secondly, feeling comfortable in a particular outfit is purely subjective and vary from person to person. Thirdly, yes, the formal/informal fashion for women always have been more elaborated and generally more uncomfortable than that for men, and that's sexist and has something to do with social norms and stereotypes of how woman and man should look like. Calling out a lady to be sexist because she's wearing a fancy gown is, I don't know, oversimplified or, plain ridiculous?

When Maggie approached them, the man got more enthusiastic and said "There's the lady of the night" and it seemed like Jake was less important so the man said to Jake "I don't mean to belittle you." I don't hear you or anyone else complaining about that, and the question, which was asked by a female by the way, was asked as a compliment like "Wow, what are you wearing?!!!" because she was wearing a beautiful dress.

Hey, why is it wrong to ask her what she's wearing? She came in an elaborate beautiful gown that looks like it has a lot of work and patience put into, so the designer deserves a credit. I'm glad the interview asked her that. Jake wasn't asked the question because he is wearing a tuxedo like every man on the carpet. Although I hope nowadays with the development in men's fashion, the designers can get credit for it too. Men getting asked these questions too. I'm a women and honestly this isn't sexism. Stop putting a bad name to it.

Their eyes are IDENTICAL. It’s actually beautifully haunting in a way 🤣

I don't understand why people always complain about gender biases, or in this case "gender biases," when it affects females but not when it affects males. I also don't understand why people bash black people for playing the race card but don't bash females for playing the gender card.

Yea the fact that these actresses take pride in their ten/hundred thousand dollar dresses means they wanted to be interviewed about, first and foremost, their dresses. If they went in with their suits im sure as hell the first question they'll hear is "what do you have coming up"

Post modernism strikes again

Just finished watching Jake in his role as Danny Sharpe in AmbuLAnce he's come such a long way when you think of the younger version of him in the blockbuster The Day After Tomorrow with Dennis Quaid. But Maggie has been on a journey as well from being one of the stars in Stranger Than Fiction and playing the lead female in the Dark Knight with Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Gary Oldman.

Two of my Hollywood favourites.

She is 5'9 and he is 6, according to google but hollywood celebs esp males do increase their height on their profiles, so I would not be surprised if they were same height.

I thought its her husband.
