Needs more work, but looks amazing! Now is the time for fans to make 4K remasters better then official. You can now make 4K texture packs on PCSX2 being able to dump all the textures and upscale them. A PC port of Jak 1 is really cool to see. Hope to see the other games too ported. This PC port allows more creative freedom to enhance the game even further. Unlike a emulator, this PC port can have a optimized widescreen patch. If you look at the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition it has a widescreen patch, but each camera shot what your not supposed to see is cropped out. However that is up to the devs.

Ha, thats interesting, I had watch the making of Jak and daxter the Precursor legacy how did they manage to under stand Andy Gavin programming code, Every one was talking about how difficult Andy Gavin code was and how he was the only one to under stand it, something like that.

Just as good now as it was then

The eyes take some getting used to but it is interesting to see what's done here.

My favorite of the game series and want a reboot badly. This is well done!

Wow they really did them self on this, They did amazing job with this port even got a sub title something that Naughty dog could of been working on instead of the last of us remake some how the fans was able to make that better than the ps2 port and the remaster version , only one little thing they can fix is the dark eco texture other rise it is great.

Yeah also the subtitles are not consistent in the other cutscenes. Sometimes they do not show up at all for certain scenes. But to have it up and running and can complete it 100% is great! It looks the best out of all ports and runs super smooth with many different options of resolutions etc

@@DaxterMaster I’m sure they can get the subtitles to be consistent on other cut scene :D I did know this how much stuff that they remove on the remaster version like the green sun, in Jak2 I really thought Kor having a black face was really cool until I find out that, that was a bug , even sly cooper remaster has some changes like the music being different and cut scenes this time around being different , if they can remaster the trilogy than that will be great only thing is I don’t have a PC at the moment I’m still lock off to that Microsoft thing so I use Mac , I’m kind of sad they don’t have a Mac version :D

Correct, you need a black label NTSC disc.

Yes, but it speeds up the game itself.

Can i play using keyboard and mouse?

I havent tried yet, I just used the ps4/ps5 controller hooked to a usb to my pc.

I do need to ask, maybe it is in the video. But will is support the alternative languages? I grew up with the game in Spanish and honestly don't wish to play it any other way. It'd be awesome if it's just all fully there.

I believe all the languages work. Because everything was ported from the original game. Regarding subtitles I dont think it has the other language subtitles but I could be wrong. There are tons more accessibility options in this port than the Ps2.

Its fully playable, yes. There's a lot of resolution options and I believe it does support ultrawide. Not 100% sure but you should try messing with the settings a bit to fit your best options :)

There is not a Russian translation in the original game, but I believe if someone writes the whole Russian transcript in the right format it can be done through this.

github.com/open-goal/jak-project/releases/tag/v0.1.4 download that and put the jak 1 iso into the same folder of the out section. then drag the iso to the extractor, wait until command prompts finishes then the game boots up by itself.

Ive actually thought about that when the Jak 2 version got released. Though its hard to give an answer right now. We have to wait for the Jak 3 version and see the position Im in that moment in order to create it as it took such a long time to make especially recreating the gameplay. I managed to finish it during the pandemic when i wasnt working. It isnt impossible though. Currently Im unable to work on new videos due to a very busy schedule with work, but I definitely would love to make it even better sometime. Maybe when the AI stuff improves I can even do the Jak X one I had planned a decade ago!
