The Making of Jak II™: Renegade - Restored Behind the Scenes - Remastered and Upscaled (4K Extended)

Ойындар

This video shows the behind the scenes making of Jak II: Renegade with Naughty Dog. Naughty Dog developers Evan Wells, Jason Rubin, Andy Gavin as well as writers, programmers and artists share how the development of Jak II came together in terms of Plot, Characters, Art Design, Animation and World Building.
This video is a mix of 2 videos, denoised, color corrected, upscaled. Coming from DVD source. I have restored and upscaled to 4K as well as re-recorded the gameplay as accurate as possible so that the quality would be the same. The cutscenes were all synced frame-by-frame with the original visuals and remastered audio from 720p (PS3 Trilogy) and 1080p (PS4) which were then upscaled to 4K to give the viewer the best viewing experience.
Like the Trilogy movie, recreating this from scratch was a lot of work and I hope that all the fans appreciate the dedication and time I've put into this.
This project is FANMADE and is NOT affiliated with Sony, Naughty Dog or Mass Media. I do not own Jak and Daxter.

Jak 2 is one of the best games of all time and i think Jason Rubin and Andy Gavin don't get enough credit for what they actually accomplished.. turning a colourful 3d platformer into a dark greedy shooting action racing and mission based platformer, and still worked ..

@@DaxterMasterI got my PS2 for my 7th birthday in 2002. That Christmas sitting under the tree were four additional s game to go with it and Precursor legacy was one of those games. I never got very far on my own but my dad was a big gamer and I remember going over his house and him and my brother being so much farther in the game. I remember the lava bike level, snow level, the ocean temple level playing those levels through them as a kid. Jak 2 had a lot of my hype and my dad got it when it first came out around release. I remember playing it at his house and being off putting to me due to the darker tone and how radically different the shooting, driving, and atmosphere was to the bright and happy precursor legacy game I knew. Years later I want to give it a fair try now

aka how to kill a game's identity lol, my god what a polarizing, weird wonderful fun and frustrating sequel. A gta trend surfing mess, along with a major sonic adventure dev hire, led to this bizarre follow up to a masterpiece. Instead they went for the gta money, attempting to market it to teens/adults who couldnt or werent allowed to get GTA. an impossible task. It earned 70s across the board for a reason. Polarizing gameplay loop of timed fetchquests and bizarre missions, it only got worse with 3. There is no franchise identity. Shouldve made another collectathon, hell even with Yasuhara when he came back to Sonic, he made Unleashed. Essentially a bad Jak and Daxter game in disguise. oyyyy The first game stands alone, a swan song for the platforming genre. Before GTA killed the industry, the FIRST TIME.

What are you talking about? It not only holds its identity, it was/is a pioneer for so many things to come. Jak II held all the fundamental elements of Jak and Daxter while being something new. I'm blown away to hear you didn't like it, as it was not only popular among fans but it brought in a whole new segment of people who otherwise did not care for the series.
