It's called idle deload and it's a very difficult thing to explain properly. It's also unknown WHY it even works in the first place. So basically, when Jak does his idle animation, the game runs a check to see what level he's in, and stores that level as a "checkpoint". This happens every time Jak idles, but if you hold a button during the idle animation to cancel it, the game gets confused and deloads the level, spawning Jak that the closest checkpoint in that level. Basically, dying at Klaww then deloading at Boggy Swamp puts Jak past at Mountain Pass cause that checkpoint happens to be closer to him than the beginning of the boss fight. I hope that makes sense lol

i actually bypassed the sliding trigger from the bottom once, walked the slide backwards to the top and found a power cell. but that was prolly just one i missed before sliding??

You can also fight the ambush on misty with the zoomer makes invincible

Not sure if he's covered this or not yet, but I've messed around with the debug and you can do the boss fight, go down the lift to the yellow sage teleporter and that just allows you to teleport back to Geyser Rock lol.

Okay, but can you get into snowy mountain without the gondola too?

so I was just testing the hold jump on the rock in boggy swamp using the OpenGOAL version of this game and it works... but instead of putting me past where I would have fought klaww it put me by the area with the gambler and knight. mind you I already beat the game. just wanted to see if it would work.

Try it again, but this time die in the lava in the klaww fight first

When I pressed X on the particular rock, it took me back to rock village 😢

Can't die on your way from klaww to the rock, otherwise the stored klaww area gets wiped and replaced with rock village

@atlusangelq the only Crash game I've played is Twinsanity. That game is held together by scotch tape, so its fun to break and bug hunt on.
