Still works Sat, Nov 18 2023 You need to press X as the timer runs out to fall down and collect orb then restart the mission. Once you get 300 orbs, press L3 + X at the pause menu and you should get the other 300 orbs for the 600 orbs trophy.

Do you need to have 300 in your inventory or can you spend them on secrets as you collect them?

@@swittman9123 You can spend them however you want as you are collecting to get 300 orbs. I suggest spending later so you can track how many total orbs you currently have. Once you reach a total of 300 orbs, do the command inputs to get additional 300 orbs and the trophy will pop.

Still works as of 15/12/2023! Did everything step by step as in the video and got it! Thank you!

It works today (07/05/2022) on PS5, all trophies including the remaining 300 orbs with the second control. Thanks for such a good guide!

Still works as of 11/06/2022, the second controller option helped double the precursor orbs. Did it on PS5. Make sure to log in the second controller to another profile, not the one you are using.

Can confirm this still works as of 22/07/23 and it works on an existing save file if you already have orbs so you don't need to start from a zero amount. Also, I had 270 orbs and used this trick to get to 300 orbs, then did the L3+X trick and suddenly I had 1100 orbs so perhaps try L3+X first to see if it'll triple your count

About how long does it take to acquire the 300 orbs first? Like an hour to two hours?

Yeah your "code" at the beginning doesn't work. Hold L3, ok. Circle & Square, ok but as soon as I press X it selects whatever it's hovering over. I know of the trick itself, done it on PS3 but this doesn't work. I stand corrected. Tried it again & I realized I was supposed to start the trick at the "Jak 3" screen. I was doing it from the "new game load game" screen. That's why it didn't work.

Doing this, once I go to “destroy final boss” it just starts me up at the beginning of that mission, not to where you are at so I’m unsure what I’m supposed to do

Thank so much man, I year ago I haunted all the orbs by myself, and spent lots of hours looking for them. At the end, when I needed my last orb, the game bugged and I didn't received the trophy. I've tried the glitch of dark eco but that didn't work. And then I found this... thank so much.

5/24/2022 - This worked like a charm, awesome job on this video. Had to grind this out 200 times for the 600 orb platinum trophy 😂 On PS5 btw

Can you be more specific? Doesnt work here. It enters the menu as soon as I press X. (im holding L3) Do I need to wait for the cinematic to end to do the trick? Or can I skip the cinematic?

You don't need to enter the code at the beginning. Just start a new game then pause go to the map and try both codes there (also you have to keep holding L3 while pressing the codes)

If I am in debug and I select the mission Climb Monk Temple Tower, it spawns me at the tower and not the town. Is there anyway to get back to the town without the temple mission?

You have to select Pre-Load mission, not Load mission

Everything was going smooth until i got up to the “monk temple” part. When I press L2 and R2 it doesn’t let me fly. I spawn in the same spot as you. Super frustrating •_•

what if i accidentally got it before time went out

I didi the second controler glitch with 100 orbes and get 1100 ornés but i only get 300 orbes trophy. Donyou know why ?!

How to input code on the PSVita version?

Works as of 02/20/2024!!! God bless this video because I was not about to hunt those precursor orbs again. I had to do that on Vita and almost lost my sanity as it is

a bit more tricky but another way you can do it without flying is go up to the orb and punch into the orb at the last possible moment. You will need punch into it when there's about less than half a second left. Mission will fail, but you will still have collected the orbs if you times it right

Not on PS4. They've tried to block this by de-spawning the orb if it's in view when the challenge fails. Hence why you need to use the flight, so the orb is off camera when it fails. On PS3 you can also do it more easily by jumping over top of the orb right before the challenge fails.

It worked for me perfectly and first, thanks bro I have no words to thank you for you I managed to platinum my childhood I leave you a strong like you saved me

G’day mate, great vid BUT everytime I put the second sequence of code in when I get the push X twice it always starts a new game and doesn’t give me the same menu as you. I can put the first sequence of code in and go to secrets using L3+L2-R1 and get to the same area but I can’t fly and it’s impossible to get to that spot without flying in 20 seconds, any advice/tips would be great thx mate…

Try to type the code while you are on options. So when you double press X doesn't start a new game. I am not sure if it will work but leave a feedback here to know. :)

I started a new game entered the map and typed both codes there and it worked

I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for me. I’ve done it for a while and when I did the second controller it added 1000. That’s the last trophy I need. It didn’t work for me as of may 19, 2024. I’ll try other methods but it looks like it works for many!

I tried to get them only using the L3+X on second controller trick and got over 1k orbs but it didn't work. Then I did the steps on the video (300 orbs with the challenge, but the one at the docks, and then L3+X trick to get the rest) and it worked. I don't know if you did it that way, hope this helps.

Does this work on ps5 too? Im playing this game through PS+ and am not enjoying it enough to find all the orbs legit

I don’t think I’m doing it right. I’m on the PS4 and when I do the code at the Jak 3 screen, as soon as I press X, it selects and moves the screen forward to the main menu. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

unsure if they patched this. I've done it 100 times as of January 11th 2023. did the trick 100 times but the second controller trick isn't working for me. I'm on the PS3 Edit: not really worth to stress over it if its not working for you. doing this 200 times isn't so bad.

This doesn't make any sense. When I press x by doing the 1st code at the starting screen it just makes me continue to the load game screen. How does this work? Please I spent so much time trying to platinum this game for it to spit in my face.

I’m on ps5 and none of the story related trophies popped when I loaded the last level, but the trophy for beating the game popped when I loaded the last cutscene. Now nothing is popping, not even if done legit. Anyone else run into this?

for the story trophies you have to play on PS4, than you can play on ps5 for the orb and skull gems, trust me

Short version of the orbs and skulls just like with jak 2 take a second controller turn it on and connect it to a profile then hold L3 and press X it'll give you all you need in orbs and skulls and this method still works on P4 8/22/22

9/6/2024: still working on PS5. PS: When I pressed L3+X with the second controller, I got 100 extra orbs. I ended with 1300 orbs.

last 2 trophies i need for the platinum are actually the last 2 orb trophies(200 and 600, i think its 200🤔) This might actually help if it still works in 2023

LOL thanks. Talked with the precursor head, took yellow orbs at least once, retry and then logged in with the second controller. Press L3+X and it gave me 1000 orbs and 1000 metal heads.

@@fahaami just turn on the controller, sign into another account, go to the game on your original controller, then press x and L3 on the 2nd controller. Just did it now for the first time in ps4 and worked perfectly. you have to be in debug mode
