I can see how they got rid of the civilian ones But calling them "vehicle" feels so awkward I think if the jak ones stayed, and he called them "rides" it'd be way cooler

@@xXSilentAgent47Xx I bearly understood anything from the game when i played it as a 6-13 year old. English wasnt exactly my first or even second language so the story itself was pretty hard to understand until i was a little older. I just thought jak is the hero. And that there is no gray area. But voicelines such as the once in this video would be enough for me to understand that he was actually taking them. As an adult do i find these voicelines kinda edgy so happy they never got it.

​@@xXSilentAgent47Xx Yeah but this is a platformer. See how fast Jak kicks em off and takes off? Yeah aint no way you'll see that in a semi-realism game like GTA. Hence why it works. Cause your rate of car jacking is like 3-4 a minute as opposed to up to 60 a minute lolz. Random numbers but poijt got across surely. Gameplay, basically.

I wonder if the dialogue is also available in different languages?

​@@2sallads I always thought of it as "borrowing" for a greater purpose lol. Jak is literally saving their city after all they'd all be dead without him... But as a kid I used to just sit somewhere and change hover zones to wipe the bikes out of the air which wouldn't have an excuse LOL

I actually learned something new, holy shit. Why did ND scrap these. This system was perfect and would have complimented the entire nature of the game. Also you said 15 lines, why not share all of them?

Yes, these are all still in the final build. There's a ton of voice lines in the final game that remain unused.

I actually think it was the right choice to not include these. Having Jak be snarky about doing these to innocent people would be the straw that pivots him from being a liked edgy protagonist to just a pure unlikable jerk.

I think it's great for his character, the only thing we really saw about him being any different post-prison is like the first two missions and when he gets irritated with Kiera before that one race where you play as Daxter. I feel like they should have had more instances where he just seemed like a douche sometimes for no reason, it would make more sense from a story position, especially since even after the light eco "balances him out," in the third game, he's still the same exact personality. Like they could have made him a little more of a dick to Daxter, and Daxter kind of afraid of him. Would have had a much better bar to start at for actual character growth.

Interesting as they are, I'm already sick of them after this video. In the game they'd get annoying very quickly.

Nothing here is going to be set in stone, you can always change how often civilian/jak's voicelines triggers. GTA has always had these kinds of voicelines, but I can see how quickly it would be annoying after hearing the same lines over and over, although you don't really hijack in this game very often. I'd personally prefer to reduce civilian voicelines to be triggered perhaps 1/6 or 1/4 of the time and leave jak's the same. Maybe they can have voicelines alternate between or trigger in a different way. Either way, this option doesn't have to be black and white, all or nothing. You can always change how often and whenever

Wow! with all this cut content and AI voices Jak 4 can definitely be made by dedicated fans. It would be hard and would take a few extremely talented and dedicated people to create the proper framework that captures Jaks moveset and features, etc. But I really think it can and should be done...

Holy shit I had no idea this was a thing, this is so cool! Man it would have been awesome if this was kept, I've always found Jak too silent in-game and wished he had more voice lines, I'm pretty sure the only times you do hear him speak in-game are in the mission where you protect young Jak, and the races, and those moments almost feel jarring because Jak is so silent in gameplay for the rest of the game.
