Jaishankar, JBIC Maeda, Keizai Doyukai Suntory Niinami on Business, Quad, China, US | Raisina@Tokyo
Raisina Dialogue 2024 | Japan and India enjoy a Special Strategic and Global Partnership, involving cooperation on a wide range of issues. The two countries are also working within the Quad with the United States and Australia and normalised their security partnership through the 2+2 dialogue, bilateral security training, and Acquisitions and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA). Trade between the two countries has grown, as has direct investment from Japan to India and coordination in third countries. Now that this foundation has been laid, what are ways to translate the two countries' aligning visions of a Free and Open Indo-Pacific into more practical cooperation on security, economics, technology, and people-to-people exchanges?
Speakers:
S. Jaishankar, Minister for External Affairs, India
Tadashi Maeda, Chairman of the Board, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Japan
Takeshi Niinami, Chairperson, Keizai Doyukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives); President & CEO, Suntory Holdings Ltd., Japan
Moderator:
Samir Saran, President, Observer Research Foundation, India

EAM is not just intelligent, he is extremely pragmatic... his answeres actually make sence , unlike govt officals , whose answers are gobbledy goo.
Excellent hardsell and plain speaking with Japan by Jayshankar!
That was tough navigation by ORF and handled well

Like minded countries get together to discuss and make sure that they all grow, develop and achieve targeted results by hands to hand performance. We see really different Bharat.

Japan has never preached to india. They show by example. We want to be like them. So disciplined as a people..India lacks this discipline. Their focus. Sharp. Their commitment . Dedication
❤
Delicate relationship 💔

Japan and India have to help eachother to grow. This will help against China. Japan alone has helped India in her independence struggle
Ah! Jai Shankar in Japan ❤
India has lot to learn from Japan. Their experiences with the west. Their perspective will guide us..They have fought, and danced with the west,both..they have similar insecurities about China..our intrests are queit same. Regarding china
A method to introduce the newer energy conservative products would be for a business to reinvest the carbon tax it would pay out back into a price reduction of its product, thus allowing the consumer to buy other products it needs in a similarly priced carbon tax reduction. Inevitably the business will strive to reduce that carbon tax, being in its mindset beneficial to itself and the world.
