    noname 3 major reason I can think of off the top of my head ... 1st & foremost, a over zealous prosecuting attorney who’s more interested in racking up convictions than the truth is a big problem in the USA courts. 2nd- Over worked & under paid state defense attorneys don’t have the time to properly investigate or prepare for a clients case. This young mans defense attorney should’ve had a copy of the surveillance footage & a working DVD player. 🤦🏻‍♀️ 3rd- is money - empty jails don’t make money. Big corporations are in charge of communication & food available for purchase in jail & in prison. Inmates and their family members are charged ridiculous rates for food items & to call, skype, or email one another. IMHO these are the top 3 reasons so many innocent people (mostly young men) are behind bars.

We as a whole have one of the highest , if not the highest incarcerated in the world... Believe me when I tell you that there are plenty of people in jail or in prison that are innocent... But at the same rate there are plenty of people walking the streets that should be locked up...

    You people can’t really be gullible enough to believe that the prosecution pretended the DVD player wasn’t working to avoid having to show the jury video proof that this guy wasn’t even in there! Good lord people will eat the dumbest shit up! If this idiot is telling the truth, the prosecution was fully aware that they were trying an innocent man, had DIRECT evidence that he was an innocent man, decided that despite him being innocent, they were going to risk sanctions, disbarment and criminal charges and press forward with the trial and instead of burying the direct evidence that proves the defendant’s innocence, they listed it as a trial exhibit and had the jury, the judge and the defence team expecting to watch this video but at the last second, they sneakily decided to PRETEND the DVD player was broken and the judge didn’t call in tech support or I don’t know maybe grab another DVD player??? Instead, the prosecution just decided to skip the part about showing video footage of the bank being robbed to the jury for the rest of the trial and this clown’s lawyer, knowing the video would prove his client wasn’t even there, didn’t go get a DVD player and what? Just forgot the video that would ensure an acquittal and expose these corrupt prosecutors, even existed and oops put on their defence without the DVD? Omg people are dumb! He just gave the most ridiculous bullshit story in criminal history and you guys believe him! If there was video proof that this guy wasn’t even in the bank at the time of the crime, a 5 year old could act as his appellate attorney and get the conviction overturned. And since we know he’s lying about that video and what happened with it at trial, we know he’s guilty af because nobody who was factually innocent would tell such a stupid story.

  • @willatwood

    @willatwood

    3 жыл бұрын

    Elizabeth Clothier exactly, if you listen to his reasoning for his appellate trial case, you can clearly see he's trying circumvent the law and it's wording and the charges brought upon him in this case. Many inmates try this tactic but don't know the law, but because they interpret their charges because of how exactly they read them and not what they cover as a whole. I'm sure he was the getaway driver and they came running to him after they robbed the bank. But, because he believes he could outsmart the justice system by the exact wording of his charges. He never entered the bank, which is true. He never physically was in the bank robbing them with a gun, which is true. Since he didn't enter the bank he couldn't have had a gun, which is true. So because all these things are true and there's video evidence of all this, he believes he can twist the narrative to what really happened to minimize his actions and culpability. He doesn't understand that as a getaway driver, he can be charged with the exact same charge as his accomplices. Because he had a different role in the robbery doesn't mean you can't get charged with the same thing as the other defendants.

    Seems genuine. I know some people can be very persuasive. But ill look at one thing he admitted which he didn't have to admit. He said he was going to turn himself in which may or may not be true, BUT he ALSO ADMITTED that if he thought he could take his kids and move somewhere and would never be caught, he would not turn himself in. He definitely didn't have to admit that truth if he was concerned with making himself look as best as he could.

    Just because someone doesn't have a record don't mean they don't do crimes. Some just don't get caught. I believe him 50/50. He could not have known. But then he could have known; and just wasn't going to participate in the robbery. He is responsible of who he deals with. So if he is hanging with criminals; expect to be wrapped up in situations. Choose friends wisely.
