One of the best things about a gibbs run is seeing the defenders go flying at the end of the run when contact is made, especially at the sidelines. Gibbs put that shoulder down and wins 80% of the time. Tough dude for his size.

Played against him when I was in high school. He had 11 rushes against for 176 yards 2tds AND a kickoff return TD. So cool to see him succeeding and wish the best for him ❤️

oh okay cool, I went to Northwest Whitfield. The year after I graduated my alumni's first game was against Dalton. He took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown and scored a few more. Instantly knew he was special @@AlarmingPlayz

Most of gibbs stats are in the second half the year

Brad Holmes said we didn’t draft Jahmyr because he was a running back, we drafted him because he’s a special football player. They were going to draft him at 6, but they were able to trade back and get the pick that turned into Sam LaPorta. Genius move.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 945 yards this season. He was also known for his blazing, pure speed, so he was very physical for his size at 5 foot 9 and 200 pound back. He runs like a powerful back.

He is so elusive and explosive. He busted up for a bunch of 20-40yd runs. I believe next year we will see a plethora of 50+ yards runs outta him. Even with D-Mo, Gibbs will get well over 1,500 all-purpose yards and at least a dozen TDs 💪

Gibbs is so fun to watch

Best RB in the league moving forward 😊

After the 24-25 season Gibbs will be a top 2-3 RB in the league. He has the highest upside currently out of any rb in the league. Dude is special. Gibbs was my favorite player in last years draft and I’m a Lions fan so when we drafted him I was screaming at the TV and jumping up and down with joy.

I'm a packers and bills fan. The 2022-23 season I said they will be special next year. Following year 2023-24, here is detroit. Can't wait to see what they have this season coming up. Gibbs is a monster and extremely talented. Him and Montgomery are insane. Yes I've became a detriot fan to now lol.

Lions are very fortunate next season. They have 2 inexpensive highly effective backs that do very different things. Hopefully they can get another really good season out of Monty and there is a chance that Gibbs hasn’t hit his ceiling yet. He’s only 21

We will be back plain and simple.

It’s been decades since so many people were jealous of lions. It’s sooo nice to be actually good again and have other teams fans hating cause their teams are the joke now. Gibbs is a beast.

Gibbs is hands down the best running back Detroit has had since Sanders..ive been a Lions Fan since 1983..my first lions game.i have the 96 Barry Sanders throwback stitched..Much Love To the Lions and all the accomplishments they have secured..the Drought is over..GO LIONS!!!

His YAC ability going forward is going to give teams nightmares.

At first I did not understand the pick (not like I have much college football knowledge anyway) but seeing him now, I would’ve taken him over anyone else in the draft. So excited to see him in the future

Jahmyr is special. He's that rare combo of speed, slash and power. I was worried about how he'd take the hits, given his frame. But he dishes out like a pure power back. One on one tackles, it the d player going backwards. Wait til they incorporate him more in their passing game next year. I'll take him over any secondary defender, one on one.

What’s also INSANE about Gibbs season is NOBODY talked about him, nor even heard of him during the draft! EVERYBODY were so stuck on Bijon Robinson. Not only that, BLASTED Brad Holmes for picking him 12th overall. Almost same as LaPorta, nobody really talked about him in the draft or mock draft conversation. Now we have thee best rookie picks! Just goes to show that our GM knows what he’s doing and don’t care about the hype of popular players coming out of college! 💪🏾 in Brad we trust

People definitely knew about Gibbs before the draft, he was a star in Alabama! The thing was that he was expected to be taken later in the first or early second, it was a surprise that Lions took him early as they did.

There will never be another Barry Sanders, but Jamyr Gibbs is the modern equivalent!

His stance so smooth the halfbacks that look causal in da back field are the ones who are complete with talent and Gibbs is definitely rb1 in my opinion in this draft

Lions are toughening up the OL in the off season. That should open up more lanes for Jahmyr.

Gibbs and Montgomery be be converting on 3rd and 12 and 3rd and 15 yet they decide to go away from the run smh

You could see the announcers dance around the comparison to Barry Sanders, because there's a degree that they are considerably different types of player and how they are used, and so a direct comparison IS to no small extent unfair. He's more of a Marshall Faulk-type scat back whereas Barry was honestly a more traditional half back at least in terms of playcalls and formations. But where I think you CAN make a comparison is in their potential effect on a game, because they are both dynamic, electric playmakers where any time they get the ball, no matter where they are on the field, it carries the possibility for 6.
