Jaguars play Patriots in London, What does Goff extension mean for Dak? | NFL | FIRST THINGS FIRST

Спорт

Jared Goff was re-signed to a massive deal by the Detroit Lions, while Dak Prescott was not resigned by the Dallas Cowboys. Colin Cowherd said that ‘Goff is better than Dak’, and Nick Wright, Chris Broussard, Kevin Wildes, and Danny Parkins discuss whether or not Dak can be extended by the Cowboys, and if the Jacksonville Jaguars are on upset alert against the New England Patriots in London.

sorry but Colin’s right on this one. everytime Dak Prescott goes up against a good team in the playoffs, he chokes. not the MID teams, the good-great ones. and last I checked, he (Dak) didn’t make an NFC Championship. Jared Goff is better than Dak. Give Jared Goff Cee Dee Lamb, Jake Ferguson, Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup, Tony Pollard, and a top 5 defense, and watch him cook. Jared Goff's 2nd leading wr was Josh Reynolds, and the Lions had the 23rd rated defense. I mean, are we kidding right now? If Dak had taken the Cowboys to the NFCC and lost by 3 in San Francisco, he'd have his $60m per year contract. Goff's an F'n bargain.

What is Nick talking about? People fairly bring up the terrible missed PI, but Jared Goff outplayed Drew Brees in an NFC Championship game at the Superdome. Goff played pretty well in both Playoff games last year against the Rams and Bucs, and was decent against the 49ers, just suffered some unlucky drops. And yeah, Goff currently has a better team than Dak but Dak had Zeke for several years when he was the best back in the league, had a great offensive line for a while, and has had pretty good receivers over the course of his career.

You cant be like "The lions are built to run the ball" and treat that as a sign of Goff having it easy or a better position than Dak. Dak was in a much better passing situation, the Lions O-line vs Dallas' is basically a push (I liked Dallas' more last year, but the Lion's full man stack with the TE was elite too and maybe better in those spots), and the difference in the run game for the Lions is about the same as the passing edge Dallas has over them. Goff is a better QB because he has won when it mattered, unlike Dak and Dallas, and vs better opponents. People are quick to point out Miami as fraudulent for who they beat, but Dallas is the same and got beat down as bad or worst in their playoff exit.

Instead he helped them win their first division since the Bush administration, the first time winning two playoff games since the EISENHOWER administration, and we still can’t give him his props? As bad as Goff has been, I don’t think he’s EVER self-destructed like Dak did against GB this year….or SF last year…or SF the year before that.
