Hi Rick, we interviewed a Russia Gentleman at the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Summer Festival in 2018 at Wroxall Abbey, England. He and some friends had driven over 3000 kilometres to get there. The interview starts at 11:00 minutes into the video. Please click on this link if you are interested:- kzread.info/dash/bejne/mnqHyceEdMjberQ.html Regards Peter

Hi Peter, I think you and l both know a '55 140 would not have been finished in that particular B.R.G. however, it was very nice. It must be awful deciding which Jag' to take! The 150's look obese compared to their older brethren. I restored a 140 F.H.C. for the director of our body shop in the late '90's it was a huge task. We sourced the repair panels from a shop in Lyndhurst, l think it was father and son. As l recall he was a retired aviation engineer. My director insisted that l should lead load all the joints, l did! It took 48 sticks! He would not allow me to "dry " fit door locks,Windows, lamps etc. prior to me painting it. We did have a few headaches when l fitted it up but all things considered it looked very nice. The rumour was he spent over 70k on the car without my labour and promptly sold it for 22k as he decided to move to Spain! ( Prior to the restoration it was in terrible condition with virtually no interior or brightwork although it did have a chassis with running gear) Thanks Peter.

INTERESTING CHOICE OF WORDS. THE USA HAS THE LARGEST AMOUNT OF LARGE PEOPLE, IN THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY WHEN THESE JAGS FIRST HIT THE MARKET THERE. EVERYONE WANTED ONE, THOSE LUCKY FEW, HAD PROBLEMS FITTING INTO THOSE SLIM DIMENTIONS , WITH VERY LITTLE ADJUSTMENT FOR LEG ROOM, AND, THAT HUGE STEERING WHEEL. JAGUAR. WHO WANTED TO 'EXPAND' THEIR MARKET, DULY ABLIGED.
