I have to deal with a shrinking leather area above the centre vents - this video made removal look easy. Going to try warming the leather and pulling it down under the vent lip. Should work...many thanks for the tutorial!!!

Hi, thank you, It is even easier as there are only 4 bolts to remove the unit ( top and bottom ). Yes warming the leather should work. Thanks again for watching.

Hi, Thank you for watching and for your feedback. there are in fact only 4 screws ( 2 top and 2 bottom ) that hold the unit in, even easier to remove. Thanks again for watching.

@@crystalclearmechanics Update: followed your advice - all came off easily. Thank you again! Shame I still couldn't find my entertaiment system to reboot and the sound to break when raining. All seemed dry back there. XKs are full of fun puzzles! :)

Nice presentation, thanks for the video. I am interested in removing the entire dash unit as mine has a tan color that I want to change to black as it shows brightly in the windshield reflection. Best regards!

Hi, thanks for the compliment / feedback. I have not taken the entire dash out of an XK as yet, the facia under the speedo / rev counter pulls out the same as the facia around the entertainment unit. If you have a problem when changing the dash let me know and I'll see if I can help. Many thanks again.
