Just fitted a bluetooth music module in my xkr - hopefully I've left some wires in the way of the lid going right back, it was working beforehand. Hopefully I just need to be a bit tidier with the excess wire. Super helpful video 👍

Good video. I just had to get access to the back of the ashtray to clear out some items that had migrated back there, preventing lid from operating. Didn't have to totally remove the tray. Found that the larger Torx screws were tightened down very hard. Otherwise, an easy fix.

Bien hecho amigo ! I thought at 4mins, i saw a bit of broken plastic ping up ?? and therefore ud fixed it ! Job was not difficult really but elaborate in that you had to remove so many other parts to allow its removal !! Again things i did on my Barchetta but not the Jag ! Think i was changing the small 1.5 watt bulbs ??

Hi, thank you for watching. Yes there was a piece of plastic but the lid worked fine, I showed how to remove it as requested.

I have a XK x150 2007 I want to change the surround to the gearshift the darker silver trim how can I change that for a stainless steel surround you make it look easy ? Mark

Hi again,I have new fittings for the rear parcel shelf,but it keeps dropping...any suggestions please...

Hi Trevor, Sorry about the late reply, I somehow missed your post. I take it you could only get the 4 plugs that fit through the parcel shelf, if so the only suggestion I have is to take one of the 4 snap connectors out of the door frame ( one nearest the number plate end ) and connect it to one of the new plugs you obtained, you should then be able to see the issue and rectify it in some way. Hi, most useful, please advice how the small covers are moved just behind the door window controls..I thought they would just push up,but I can't move them... cheers

Hi Trevor, do you mean the (usually silver) panel that incorporates the electric window switch, if so then follow it to where it curves down at the back, hook your finger nails or thin lever in where it ends (inbetween the silver part and the arm rest / door pull) and lift upwards. Thanks.
