They did, I had one almost identical to that in the video. I now have it’s latest equivalent, an XJ V6 Portfolio, believe me, it certainly looks different from the outside, inside, I opted for the same colour scheme. It is very luxurious interior, with many improvements and new tech etc. still a large gents club car feel. The only thing I miss is the woode steering wheel, and gear knob. I am not a great.fan of the pop-up silver knob, and so far haven’t used the the ‘manual’ paddle shift on the deterring wheel. Other than that it’s one beautiful car! University of course, it is also the last they will make.

A rare find in this condition and milage. These were the last examples of a traditional jaguar XJ, far superior to the modern offerings. Someone will be a lucky new owner, i hope they keep it in mint condition.

Sadly the XJ is no more. I tried to sit in one while considering purchase, I'm only 5'10" and had to dip my head markedly just to clear the roof, so I passed on it. My 2007 is easy for ingress and egress.

@@peoplehavetherights I have the same problem, at 5'11" driving with your head hitting the roof is not a good idea. My last one was a 2008, and had room to spare. I hope the new owner sits in it before bidding.

i have a 2005 example of this motor on 100k mileage. just picking up air suspension problems and had an exchange zf box dropped in but the car is beautiful and we take it to italy from uk every year. is requiring a bonnet and boot respray in the next few months. no way am i getting rid of it. petrol 3ltr doing 29mph visual classic and a great ride.

If this car was a series 3 in 4.2 or V12 I would be first in the queue . All other Jags post series 3 were "wide of the mark" and Jaguar didnt even know it . Let me know if a series 3 comes in .

GUIDE PRICE IS £16,000 - £18,000 An excellent example with some tlc to the paint and perhaps better looking alloy wheels. A rare find at this low milage and condition, most have over 100k on them and rust issues. Treat yourself if you have the funds.

@MARTIN WEAVER A lot more, you would need to outbid the Jaguar traders who are prepared to pay high prices for a low milage mint car. It only needs some tlc to the paint and it's ready to retail with a high markup. I think it could go for at least £30k.

This generation of XJ is made of Aluminium so you really cant expect corrosion or rust

Your right although aluminium panels can still get an issue with the term “ally rash” which does look like rust under the paint

I’m glad you showed us the wheel arches and sills they look perfect, because rust has always been a problem with the 100% aluminium body and chassis it’s the first one I’ve seen with no corrosion don’t know why they stopped making them with steel 😂

I know that the English men and women will give away many things even few money from their savings but when it comes to a jaguar car, a roll Royce a Bentley, you hardly see them Trusting you in their prestigious cars and stationary engines, but remember help me with one but gasoline please i6 engines.

There are still thousands of X350 shape and the earlier XJ40 shape on UK roads with a easy supply of parts and lots of Jaguar specialist garages and main dealers to keep them going. Many of them over 200,000 miles.

Quite quick for what they are and quite quick to fail as well, they suffer from oil starvation and it’s when not if, steer well clear of them.

The earlier cars did suffer. These later cars had an updated oil pump that made a big difference.

I have a remapped 2.7, 258bhp and 400 lb ft torque. Doesn't even sound like a diesel and returns avg 35mpg with £300 lower road tax than the V8's.
