Timeless monarchs of luxury and style. X300 and X308 chassis were the last of the real Jags.

The x308 interior is shit and feels more like a Lincoln interior. Xj40, and x300 have charm.

X308 interior has this American luxury vibe. X300 was the last jag to look like a jag. X305..just became like a British version of a mercedes
The X300 series XJ6 Jag is the best car in the world. I bought one a few weeks ago so this video will come in very handy, much easier than wading through the manual. Thanks for putting it up.
I´ve bought my first Jag a week ago and its a 1997 BRG X300 4.0. The feeling of luxury conveyed by this video is so alive in these cars, its unbelieveable. Everything else on the road -exept maybe a Rolls Royce or a Aston Martin -seems to be just substandard and ordinary.I luv it.

Great video! I appreciate that a driver is also appropriately dressed and behaves normally. Nowadays luxury car reviewers make their reviews in a basic T-shirt and baggy shorts.....or in best case scenario formal trousers, shirt combined with trainers.
Ah. That’s what that button does. Only been driving them for 11years
Lovely.. And it reminds one of the time when people used to actually dress up. #SeinfeldEra
I owned an X300, same interior/exterior colors, but with the straight-six. I kept her 13 years and was easily the most reliable car I ever owned. Before I owned BMWs and after Mercedes...
A smashing car. Shame about the rust issues.
I'm surprised that these did not come with a rain meter.
During my ownership I never understood to press the lock button *twice*. Always read the manual. Or..watch a Customer Handover Video !

I always do that, although I’ve found that if you press the lock button in succession to fast it won’t make the ‘beep’ sound that signals the alarm is armed.
Lol at the cruise control

Massive aerials on these Jags. That’s all.
My 1995 xjr has not got a glove box ,just a great whiny supercharger wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
ahhhh.. thats what the valet button is for!
Wilmott-Brown doing the voiceover :D
I've just bought an xj6 executive. I just need to buy a briefcase, striped shirt & some slacks now.
Good The Actor in this video is Wearing ROLEX!!
God I wish I had the V12. I just got the V8.
As we used to say R.T.F.M, read the fucking manual.
Upper middle class video demonstration.
Superb car, but all those electronics scare me to death (sad personal experience with a certain German make). Why the Austrian music?

I had a very expensive experience with a German make. Might surprise you but it was VW. I've run BMW cars quite happily. Volkswagen ruinously expensive.

Electronics are incredibly reliable. No moving parts. It's electromechanical bits they control that are prone to failure.

@@paulanderson79 Don't be ashamed. I am Austrian loving UK with or without being member of EU. You are a great nation with great culture and traditions! The EU politicians are hungry monsters for your national tax money being generated by millions of hard working British people. All they want is access to your money! If you access the pot will be no longer available! That's why they want to make you look stupid in front of the world :-) You are a very powerful and proud nation, EU is a corrupt pot of crooks and very strange people... I love your country, love your culture and love classic Jaguars too :-)
What the advertising blurb doesn't tell you is that a head gasket set costs £600 ! ! Thankfully, aftermarket parts are now becoming more available.
Do we really need specialist instructions to operate cars? I can go from Jags to Mercs to Mazdas to Seats without any difficulty. I'm sure I'm not alone here.
