This is the Jaguar Sovereign, which was based on the second-generation Jaguar XJ6. Standard features of the Sovereign included ten-way power-adjustable leather seats, cruise control, climate control On the outside, the Sovereign had chrome trims in several places.

Yes, the AJ16 engine is really great. I can imagine you are very happy with your Sovereign!
I had one of these.Very very good cars and in my eye´s highly underrated. They will skyrocket in price as soon as they are 30 years old.. I have to get one again, thanks for the motivation. Holland is beautiful and I hope the farmers protest will succeed.

They are definitely undervalued, you are absolutely right. And indeed they are definitely going to rise further in value, if they are well preserved. This car is definitely in the future driving heritage, if it is not already. It's nice that I can motivate you in this way to start driving one of these again!

Slowly but surely, I'm restoring a 1996 XJ6 4.0L. Just put new rotors and brakes on it. Also added a new performance cold air intake. Love using the J gate to romp on it! So much fun to drive.

Fit the Andy Bracket which advances the crank timing 5 degrees. It's a 15 minute job and makes the engine a little sharper. My Jag uses LPG and the 5 degree advance has really improved LPG performance as well as petrol.

@@wayland7150 The Andy Bracket is next up on my list of things to do. I literally just got back from a test ride after putting 18" XK8 wheels with used 245/45 R18 tires. Changed the ride is some positive and negative ways, but they look great. No turning back!

@@wayland7150 Also just found my power steering leak source. Looks like the high pressure line which from what I've read needs to be replaced every 100k miles. I've got 88k on mine.
Where are you driving? Smooth drive! I own a similar car, ‘95 Daimler Six.😂

Nearby a place called Waarland in The Netherlands. It was a very smooth drive indeed, it's like riding on cushions! Great car, would love to have one.
