Maikel, thank you for the full review of e-types at Techno Classica. Finally, I found time to watch this! This was nice as I missed it this year (visited there annually since 2007) so I didn't miss it thanks to you and Richard. What a duo you are when it comes to e-types 😊 And nice to see Harri there too 😊

This was soo enjoyable...like being a confectioner (someone who makes candy...in our case a restorer...like Adam..the artist) then just getting to go shopping for candy at the candy store. What a joy for both Vicki and I. Thank You Richard and Maikel...Mitch

Maikel and Richard, this is a terrific video for fellow “E” Type nerds. Thank you so much. I’m halfway through, I’m rationing myself. The Polish/English fellow’s “E” Type roadster had originality flaws as pointed out elsewhere but the most obvious was the R prefix 3.8 cylinder head. I think he’d been taken for a ride and doesn’t know as much as he thinks he does. The UK restoration figures he was quoting are nonsense. Keep up the great work.

Hello (from Florida) Maikel, your video out of Essen is extremely helpful for people like me who couldn’t go to the show. The extent and depth of your observations on each EType was outstanding. So great many thanks for your time and for this video. Am one of your recent followers but since I have been looking for a 1961 (early/first 1600 cars) for 6 years, your videos have been of tremendous help at raising awareness on details that make or break a so called “original”. I may ask you for some help with a couple of candidates identified recently. Gil G.

Well see ot this way, they are still out there for the same money like a modern new car which is loosing in value instantly. The offer and demand and now also the restoration costs dictate the price. Usually, these cars are owned by 50+ people who are financially sorted and holding on to their dream rather than having even more money in the bank.

Looks like you and RMO had a great time, who wouldn’t with all those E-types under one roof. I’m not sure if I’m the only one but there was a bit of a constant issue with the audio/microphone which made it a little difficult to hear what was going on and being said. However, I still enjoyed what you uploaded. Keep them coming please. Thanks.

Hello Maikel and Richard . Great coverage from the Masters of the Universe 🤣 ! The arrogance of that Englishman with the Polish restorer was breathtaking ! And some of his comments were libellous . You simply cannot make those kind of comments . His car fell well short of the standards of top class . The crude welding of the outer sill to the closing panel (identification plate ) was obvious . And l could tell you couldn't wait to get away ! Richard , you made me chuckle when you made the comment about looking for damage to the nose . I have deliberately left witness marks on mine ! When l stripped the paint off my '66 l could see the front outside of the bonnet had evidence of lead loading . I had already dismantled the bonnet to it's single components , so when l turned the centre section over l could readily see where the panelbeater had used various methods , including a slide hammer ! 😱 to repair the bonnet . I thought about it and decided as l couldn't see any obvious distortion before l stripped it then why hide it . Lead loading was the only "filler " available until the very late 1960's early '70's. So l think the original owner had a bit of a shunt , didn't wish to make a claim so took it to his local bodyshop and paid for a cash repair ! So for me it tells a story . However , l did quite a lot of planishing to improve the repair . In fact l've only just finished flatting down the inside of the bonnet (which took 2 days !) prior to painting it and did have a rethink but decided to stick to my original decision ! I'd hate to choose a favourite but the final car's paintwork had very little original paintwork a far as l could tell , the obvious sign was the colour difference between the bonnet , "A"post to door . It's a common mistake . The bodyshell gets painted with the opening panels removed . A mismatch of colour is inevitable ......even with solid colours. So enjoy seeing you two sharing your incrdible knowledge with us ......THANKYOU !

Haha, John, you were listening to that man?! 🧐 I was listening and ticking all the boxes and that is why I left it in the video. He is actually right with what he is saying about the restoration etc .... and that is why we did not look at the car in details too much for obvious reasons. But isn't that a classical scenario. A novice meets one of these, good talking people, and unless you do not have an expert at your side, you would want to believe every single word he is saying. I liked the phrase when he was saying that he is losing 100.000 €. How often do we hear that? 😂 😂 😂 And how often has this money not even been spent on the car !? We can not blame them, there are some people who wants to earn money and they have the chance to do it. Nothing illegal with that. Only bad luck if you are the one who has to add that amount of money after you have bought the car, just to make it the way you want it. Stay tuned, also to Richards Chanel. We have been to the most fascinating car collections in the world. Of course Richard know all the cars, it was just overwhelming and breathtaking. The "Loh Collection" in Germany. That you for your comment, and obviously the 👍
