In this video, I just go over all my thoughts on the brand newly announced group ironman mode. All my dreams, wishes hopes I have for the dream in 1 rambly video.

In the same way that doing firemaking in a big group around a bonfire gets you additional experience, they should do that for almost any skill you're doing with your group. For example, you and the bois are cutting a yew tree, you should get like 1-2% xp boost per group players that's also cutting with you, if they make it so friends doing stuff together is THE best way to do things, the bois will come through.
they really need to look at invention and other untradeable items

What Jagex should do is work with content creators like Ironaraxxor, So GIM is as best as it can get.
Shared quest log, yes! I'm also here for shared everything. This feels like a brand new mode. There also need to be group editing abilities Incase someone loses interest in their account.

On your tradable augmented, degradable items and clue scrolls ideas, sharing a bank should fix all of those potential issues.
the "group of adventurers" helped to restore prifdinnas - I can totally see this being a thing. your group as a whole gets credit for unlocking prif because in game, you are all part of each other's canon quest storyline(s)
Jagex needs to see this. I had no interest in GIM upon hearing the news but if these ideas are implemented i would grab my friends and make another account just for this
I think the behind the scenes work needed to be done to make untradeable/augmented items tradeable would be too much but the fix for this would be the shared/group storage. If an item is untradeable for any reason it should still be able to be deposited into group storage and withdrawn by any other team member. I feel this is probably much more plausible than making the untradeable/augmented items tradeable specifically for group irons

7:40 they have to go further than just tradable items, things liek overloads need to be sharable as usually in a GiM you'd have one person run up certain crafting skills. like you work on getting one member 99 herb at a time, but that doesnt matter if they cant trade overloads. so I'm imagining the rules should be that you can trade anything that isn't a quest or minigame unlock or anything of that nature.
I agree with group combat being only within the group but since not everyone can do high end pvm (or have 5 person group) so my version has if the boss is 3 or less people to do, it has to be within the group (with the exception of zamorak after 500% enrage or something) So raids and aod are open to grouping, and we can debate about rago/rots and the like Disagree about unlocks on all group accounts at once but collection log! That’s interesting, we can have a personal and group collection, this means we can have people grind different things
I think group ironman should be like having 10 man cells in a minecraft server, everything everyone makes or has is comunal and you use it together to compete with all the other 10 man cells, the grouping aspect is useless if all the untradeables aren't shared as 100% of end game pvm is based on untradeables, ability unlocks should be per person not comunal though as its a codex that is consumed in a 1 to 1 ratio, boss logs could be group aside from pets since everyone would share the dupes anyway
If the bank system is like osrs then you should be able to put the augmented items in the shared bank like you would normally without having to unaugment
I would love it to be clan based rather than small groups. A 30 man clan that you are forced to pvm with would be so cool. This would make it feel unique and give a good reason to update clans
I really love the idea of a fully unlocked shared group. Quests, items, passives, it would all help keep low-time invested players going in the group. BTW, im calling the ranger slot now.
I agree with lots of points. I am waiting to see the details on how they handle things like augmented items before I decide if this is something I want to do. I told myself that is the only thing that may "convince" me to start an iron is GIM. The last one about "I am the ranger" would be lovely.

how about a group collection log that keeps track of whose name the drop was in so you can see both what you've gotten as a group and an individual?
I would agree with the group bosses locked to group members but I would want them to make easier versions based on quantity of the group. like boss spawns less minions or have a cooldown or longer cooldown before using big attacks/less hp but balanced to still be a challenge and take knowledge/skill to complete of course. something like Araxxor when you duo it the fight is harder but in reverse for raids. I plan to do a duo group ironman amd I don't want to play with other people outside my group but still want to be able to do raids Vorago Nex AoD etc. 100% agree everything in the group should be moveable in the group. maybe not the exp lamps just for milestone reasons(not that I would earn any first accomplishments), a person could start a full group by themselves and feed it all into one character kind of ruining the race for legitimate people.
I think having an option where it's shared xp as well. If that was turned on it could divide the xp evenly to all group members or just those online. I also think this should be an option and not the default.
Group Ironman bank that has specifically 150 spaces. No more or less. This space restriction is part of the challenge, and incentivizes you to pick and choose what items you or others are sharing with the team. Everything that can go in a bank, can go in this bank. Everyone on the team can access this second bank from a specific NPC. I think it would be hilarious to put this NPC in the Grand Exchange. This literally solves the first 10 minutes of your video. Shared quest progress also prevents game breaking scenarios with niche quest items if they simply cannot start the quest they "already started".

We're talking about shared items, not duplicating items, so I don't know how this would impact the team playing at the same time at all. Feels like your just talking to talk. 150 spaces is a ton of extra space. It's not meant to be a trash can. You still have your own bank, just a separate bank as well for shared items. This prevents the code of the item itself from needing to be changed to make it tradable, thus preventing any incidents affecting mains. I'm not sure what you're missing here, or why this isn't a good development plan, but in my opinion it's the only way to incorporate everything in the video. Which I agree with, and you may not.
Group drop log, group area tasks, group runescore, group-specific achievements, group-specific pvm challenges that could give unique titles, group cosmetics, shared appearances, group quest completion... possibilities are endless
As nice as this would be, I question the feasability. Depending how items work in terms of preventing them from being traded, it could be an insane amount of work. Not to mention if they don't want to blanket make every untradeable item tradeable for group iron, they'd have to go item by item. Again, this depends how untradeables work.
I would love to see some group Ironman only worlds. Also if they do the group bank I would like to see them do a group invention inventory where all your invention components would go, could also apply to D&D and mini game currencies
I would like to see the shared quests. 5 accounts technically 1 account for quest log. Its not a problem. Its a problem waiting to be solved. And you need proper teammates.

i really hope they take player feedback here, and i feel they will, i want pretty much every item and quest to be shared, i also really hope they let you group solo bosses (with scaling of course)
Without changing the untradables game mode is doa imo

there should be a toggle at the start to share quests and also to share skills. ......... why not have 5 players all have the same skills and xp and each can try something diff and pvm is on par, but the items have to be traded?
I think Quest unlocking between players would be great. I love doing quests, and know multiple people who hate them, I would gladly get another quest cape if I could have the PVMers getting the drops, and skillers having supplies ready. I could also be the necro of a team that all focuses on one style, and that would be super fun :)
My concern with this "share everything" position is that it may devalue content very fast. Say one group member goes and solos Raksha and gets a grico 1st kc. If they use it and unlock the ability and automatically everyone else gets it, there is then very little motivation to continue doing Raksha. Maybe until the group gets a gchain, but then what? And this could apply to every piece of content I can think of. From a business perspective, it's not a very smart decision: your customers would essentially be able to spend less time to complete the same content and thus potentially unsubscribe faster than other customers. I don't think I'd mind collection logs having separate solo and group progression as someone else suggested, though.

Personally i dont mind GIM being a quicker mode. It would be fun imo. Other modes can be the long grinds
I take back my previous statement… I would LOVE!!! To see GIM be more like Story Man Mode, where you and your group can go into your own world and your story line progress determines what’s in the world. You start as a simple adventurer and work you way to world guardian!

would be cool to have slayer tasks for the whole group. higher ammount of monsters but the entire team gets one task
I tried a GIM on osrs, i wanted to farm giant keys for my friend. But they are untradeable. So i instantly quit

If we extend the idea of sharing the workload depending on what people like doing (e.g., gathering vs completing clue scrolls) to its logical limit, then I think it does make send to share everything. Some is a lore hound? They do all the quests for everyone. Someone likes AFK chilling? They can level up tedious skills like WC or mining for everyone. (Yes, I’m saying that skill XP is shared between accounts.) In that sense, GIM is more like 5 players sharing 1 account rather than 5 separate accounts that have to do all the usual grinds but share a bank. No, it doesn’t make the game “easier”, it’s just a radically new way to play.

Only thing I disagree on is the "g-rico unlocks for everybody" type things. Raksha would be done so fast, same with BM etc. I really enjoy that content and it would kinda suck for Raksha to be a dead boss for everyone once we have 1 grico and 1 gchain

Trade every non quest item between players would be a good balancing tool
Group ironman has a shared bank, so EVERYTHING is shared. Including untradable items. But i think you should still have invention unlocked to still use augmented weapons armour and tools.

It would be a balance > fun decision Personally i want fun/different option to always win in a new gamemode. All the other modes can be the grindy ones

I haven't played the game for god knows how long but all of your concerns would be gone if that shared store just works like personal bank, ie you can deposit anything.

The issue with some of your thoughts is if some/all of your group members stop playing, you become a solo-only account... Its not gonna be easy decisions to make, down the road

Me and my team training invention on 1 account using 5 accounts if you can trade augmented weapons lol.
Would they not have a shared bank? YES!!!! share quest progress, that'd be super nice.

Mains should not be allowed to do anything with these accounts. No bossing or anything. if they can its just ironman and really pointless.
They will do what OSRS does and have a shared bank tab between the members, so no need for trading non-tradeable. Simplest solution.

Although my potential future team hates quests i wouldn't want a shared log because if this game-mode turn out to be good i want to play it for a long time and i feel like shared progression will counter that.
should not be allowed to pvm outside the group to stop leeching ironman is so devalued now

I agree with everything except the shared quest completions. Each quest has different requirements, if im level 30 but automatically have max quest points because a teammate did all of the quests that would defeat the purpose. The point is for everyone to be questing together as a group to keep it fun and engaging

Also bring back item lending. If i wanna loan out my fsoa for 72 hours to a teammate i should be able to. I’ll automatically get it back if they decide not to give it back or log back into the game
All your ideas sound great but let's be honnest. Jagex will take the easy route and just copy & paste what we already have while ignoring all cool suggestions
Personally would really enjoy if they made it so u can transfer ur old iron to group, as someone who would mostly play with his brother this would make it much more enjoyable
So there’s something that people are overlooking about invention and untradable items for GIM. No other accounts can trade these items, so why should GIM be able to? You’re still going to be able to have people in the group be able to trade you the items to disassemble for perks, or create untradable armor etc. Each account will still have to level up invention and do the quests or tasks for untradable rewards. Ironman accounts are able to boss with mains and other ironmen so I also assume this won’t be restricted in GIM so one player could potentially do the higher level bossing and supply the team with the drops from the group bosses while other players could farm out the easier things like gwd1/2 for perks and necro gear. They aren’t going to make it so you can only boss with your team because that would make it so you can’t do certain content without it being significantly harder

why? because it is a new gamemode that is still in development, so anything is still on the table. NOW is the time to discuss and make suggestions. The whole point of a new gamemode is that it is a DIFFERENT way to play the game, hence why I would like to see these changes for this account type specifically.

@@IronAraxxor I guess in my mind ironman isn’t so much a new game mode as it is account restrictions to create a new experience. A new game mode for me would be like darkscape or the OSRS leagues. Group Ironman should play just the way regular Ironman mode does but with the catch that you have several other players helping you. It makes for a more inviting experience for people who don’t want to commit to the full Ironman experience, and gives a new start to previous Ironman players who may be maxed and looking for a new way to play the way they have been playing. Anyways I love your content as a fellow maxed iron, this is just my two cents.
