So happy to this this video. I am a retired member of MaSoRs who joined the clan in 2007. I also was also a Senior member that went on to become part of the advisory council before I retired. Seeing this video pop up out of nowhere brings back the Nostalgia of being part of the team that made it happen. For years before EOC and trade restrictions we'd so a semi annual drop party with the big obe being the summer ones. The very last one we did after trade restrictions were lifted one of our leaders decided to drop his Purple or white party hat as well (i think worth 220m at the time.) The person who ended up getting was i think some newer player in his base 50 stats and everyone just congratulated the legend

@brosettastone7520 I mean if you want a simple but similar explanation on how the rank structure works for the clan think of la cosa nostra and advisory council is consigliere with underboss authority but we're meant for not quite retired admins. The leaders of the clan have the ultimate say and senior members are active admins. Elite members are our mods and we have even specified roles for each rank too. You might say cringe when you dealt with 300-ish members in a forum or clan chat some things need structure

They excommunicated a guy for reading PMs, so not that cool or chill.

I was friends with Adidas, and was one of the early members of MaSoRS. Fun fact, the clan name name was a play on the word "Masons" aka freemasons as Adidas was a freemason himself. This is why the clan was always so helpful, charitable and community spirited.

Wow. I had actually never heard of them, even though I might have been at one of their drop parties post free trade at one point. I hope this video brings some light back on this really amazing clan, and maybe they'll make an osrs clan.

I hope they do make one in OSRS. My screen name was MinerNecron, I literally called myself a mining robot... My personal greatest achievement (IMHO) was the day I bought my own Dragon Pickaxe and upgraded it with the cosmetic. Never reached 99 mining due to getting scammed and forgetting passwords, causing me to have to start over multiple times, but I got to 95 on my most recent account. Mining is virtually all I do in OSRS and it's relaxing for me. I can't believe I never heard of these guys in all my years of playing. They would have been my kind of people instead of just clicking ore alone.

Runecrafting is fine with the minigame. I think agility is the worse by far though.

The BRoll clips are always so good, using the classic chars, and in-game locations.. so good.

Bro, my little brother stole the name "The Masors" because he went to a huge drop party from these guys when he was like 9 or 10. Wiiiild to see this!

...Holy dude. I might've seen one of these as a young kid playing. many people were around edgeville's bridge (by the canoe station) asking some questions and trading eachother. i answered a division question the fastest and got a rune kiteshield, I think my brother stole it from me the next week but it was sick owning a high level item with my level 20 stats. wild remembering that area before the Grand Exchange.

I remember a youtube video from early 2000s of the person who got a purple party hat from the falador drop party room. It was super laggy and he randomly clicked on a spot and just sniped it lol

You should talk to spot drops. The RuneScape lore that man knows for drop party’s clans and his own is insane. Definitely would make a great video. Thanks for another great video!

Cool video. Lots of memories in MASORS to look back on. Definitely wish they hadn't changed the game so much, I'd probably still be playing if they hadn't.

I used to do firemaking near the falador party room from 70-99, when the meta was to just burn like 80k maple logs. I made a pretty decent profit like 10m+ off the parties alone, there were designated servers for it, some of the stuff dropped there reguraly was already insane.

I was in the clan for a bit. I quit before eoc in 2009 when it was talked about. They were a fun clan.

I actually went to the one behind the alkarid bank. I saw the rs forum post but I didn't know it was a clan looking to recruit lol. Had I known they were, I would've 100% joined because I LOVED mining. It was hard to get in the server since it was capped at 2k players and most were on for that event. You couldn't even see the items on the ground because every tile had a person on it and it couldn't load more than a handful of tiles out.

Wish I ran into them! Would love to get my first cash stack

I remember going to one of their falador drop parties during trade restrictions got my 1st every dragon scim and my 2nd 2rd and 4th lol 4 noted dragon scims on my fresh membershiped account was crazy to me

I could see now a days it being nearly impossible for them due to bots just flooding the parties

I was a ranked member of this clan during it's last drop party and just a bit until EOC dropped. I was around for the clan transfer and was a forum moderator during that time. The clan wasn't dead when I quit RS3 around the release of invention, but it was definitely dwindling. I have a lot of fun memories from that time. I just lost interest in the direction RS3 was going down. I think I have some screenshots and video clips of the clan hall being made on an old HDD.

Was apart of a clan back in 2018/2019 that was in a way like this … would meet up and do drop parties for randoms. One guy alone brought in 600M of items for just a single drop. Absolutely no clue where the players went though as I took a break for a year. Have yet to see a single one log in, ever.

I already knew which update killed the clan without even knowing who the clan was cause I remember that update on the trade limit when it came to osrs as I was playing when it was introduced, it really sucked massively because I wanted to help my friend get into the game and wanted to drop him some good gear sets to use while leveling but I couldnt trade him or drop him them

No lie, mining and smithing are and have always been my favorite skills in OSRS since I started playing Runescape 20 years ago. (In RS3 they finally got beaten out by archaeology)

Damn I guess I was 13 in ‘09 ..I remember drop parties starting at lumbridge castle sometimes then we’d party conga-line to falador party room 😭 pretty sure I got some rune items so back then I was stoked. Good times…till I got scammed for 200k during a trade and the game lagged, logged me out, and then all my shit was gone. I still can picture that moment to this day lmao, and it was my complete bank back then so that was the first time I “quit” runescape

Aye that’s funny af I remember getting on before school early af every morning because I knew there were always drop parties worth millions and millions of GP when barely anyone was on and there would only be 2-3 high level people in the party saying please leave we will pay you to just leave now lmaoo I never understood what was going on until now.

I have no idea if anyone knows the answer to this, but were there many other groups doing legit drop parties back then? I got an adamant platebody and a rune full helm from a drop party in runescape classic It was in the center of varrock. I just have no idea who was actually dropping stuff. I just saw a bunch of people freaking out and then got really lucky. I think it had to be 2002. Thats pretty much a core memory for me. It would be neat if it was actually these guys.

I play osrs to have fun so I don't tend to do the fastest methods or the most efficient it sounds like a clan based around what the clan was founded on would be fun 😅 although I also tend to play both my uim and my regular main similar I don't tend to buy things for even my main unless I'm just not good enough to do the required quests to get to the areas to get Said stuff or to cut out part of a crafting process but even then not often.

no idea ifg it was through this clan, but maybe in 2010 or so i got a bandos tassets from a drop party in the party room. I was hacked soon after and lost al my stuff. aprox 70 mil worth. which was the most i had ever had. havent played since sadly.

I love to pause to skip the promotions, even KZread supports this with the timeline lol. You can see where everyone is also pausing to skip to past the promotion.
