I started doing this long toss program a couple of weeks ago and my arm feels great. I'm reaching about the same distances as these players, but I can't afford a radar gun to tell my velocity! Great stuff as always, thank you for posting! I was just about to post this comment and right at the end you said a poor mans radar gun is 90 mph, thank you!
im 13 and im throwing 70-73 and im gonna start this program this year and im hoping this will help me out. great video 5/5 stars
im 12 throwing 65-70 mph and i gotta say the long toss program really helps

how did your career end up?
jaeger has some great stuff on long toss
Got Damn! They were tossing 340 feet like they were flipping nickles. I'd be lucky to hit 200 feet. Boy my arm is week. Any tips on how to improve it?
@kevthedino17 name one. rick ankiel threw 97 off the bump. do u watch baseball?
how is 300feet stretching
how?
they would make good pitchers
You NEED long toss to gain velocity. But i like what Dick Mills has to say because of his philosophy on mechanics. He says good mechanics is the source of velocity. I believe this to be true because i have applied his advice on mechanics and it has worked for me and others. Mechanics are very important but not the only source of velocity. Thats why i disagree with Dick Mills on long toss.
My math says 56.8 mph, without factoring the arc distance. So maybe in 70s?
They could throw the ball for a homerun. I'd like to see a catcher with a cannon do that between innings. :o
Actually, explosive power+mechanics= velocity
you must throw 89.5 mph at 36 degrees.
It doesn't improve velocity though, at least not noticably.
To throw 335 you must throw right 100 mph.
@crazydeaf9 do you watch baseball? there are many better outfielders with stronger throwing arms. Rick Ankiel?! Lol
jesus christ they both have cannons.
I need five trows to reach 35 ft.
You must not do it right or just have a weak arm.
Let me tell you a secret, if you wanna get better at pitching: PITCH!!! for god's sake.
If you're a Pitcher you're just wasting your time.
