It is notably the same powertrain as seen in the Tiggo 8 Pro, but slightly downtuned for less power & torque. So if you've tested a Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, you'll get a rough idea.

China's top companies are investing big in Malaysia. This is a great opportunity for Malaysia.

Hoping malaysia would be hub for chery and jaecoo for asean region, producing cars for distribution to the neighbouring countries. Is this a newly built factory? I heard its the same plant where AMI manufacturing facility used to be

The facility is new to Chery. This area has long had assembly plants, and it's in the same area as UMW Toyota, Swedish Auto Assembly (now Volvo Malaysia), and PROTON.

I will wait for jaetour T2.

Kinda wonder whether they fix the noise when the door handle retract back when you start driving.

The exact response when we spoke to VP Emily Lek was: "Our facility here is currently tooled for ICE, but was designed to accommodate BEVs and PHEVs as well. Any additional variants to our lineup will be announced in due course, and we'd be delighted to share it with [the media] when the time comes."

If you have ever seen stickers on LHD vehicles, it will state 'LEFT-HAND DRIVE VEHICLE.' It refers to the side on which the vehicle controls are placed, not which side of the road is driven on. Terminology used in this video is correct and accurate.
