Should’ve been all rookie first team in my opinion. I love explosive play styles like this guy has, reminds me of early d rose, russ, and Ja, I see a bright future for this kid

I also love his play style. I could definitely see him being a 22 ppg scorer in his prime. I don’t think he’ll ever be as quick and explosive as Russ or d rose but he will definitely be close.

@@Fartyguywith a consistent jumpshot he can honestly do the same as a rockets russ in my opinion so maybe around 24 or 25 and 8 assists in his peak years

Unfortunately this isn’t really true. He was arguably the worst defender in the entire league last year and advanced numbers back that up. A lot of rookie guards struggle with D though not too worrying yet

I think he has the effort to be a good defender, especially how he looked in summer league, but last season was a poor showing, but I believe in his upside in that area

@@bkelly625 the thing about that is not always the players, defensive schemes matter, coaching can turn effort and hustle into production.

@@fdbmane4594 I hope so but he looked bad on D still in summer league and Rico Hines runs this offseason. Maybe he just needs more experience and the mistakes will decrease

Sky’s the limit but the floor is the basement if he doesn’t get smarter and pick his spots better, he has potential to be a Donovan mitchel type guy but also has potential to be a less impactful Old Russel Westbrook type because of his lack of craftiness and body control

Ivey needs to improve his jumper and become a better overall defender.

The way the roster is getting built , I think Ivey is on his way out 😢

Yeah Morant has a 44in vertical, and Ivey has a 41.5 which is less than Morant's of course, but still higher than D Wade's 36, Westbrook's 36.5, and Kobe's 38. Also I think Ivey gonna average 22-7-6 this season, and is another guy like Cade that'll be able to flirt with a triple double on a nightly basis. He also already a better 3 point shooter than Morant cuz Ivey shot close to 34% from deep, and Morant only 30%.

Be patient..he not in his man body yet..expecting facial dunks from this guy.!

Ivey was held back ALOT last season, and he's another guy that can flirt with a triple double every night.

Pistons fan here: fire Monty Williams. He has a personal vendetta against Jaden Ivey, the 2nd best player on the team. He's benched and won't even play him because of "defense" while the other young guys are allowed to commit turnover after turnover, and while the defense is a little better so far this season overall, it's not better enough to justify ruining a locker room or possibly an amazingly talented player's career.

Marquise Nowell will be lucky to make a roster this season
