„You can do whatever you want with my work, just never make me boring.“ (Freddie Mercury) Freddy Mercury would be one of the biggest fan of this performance

Don’t think Freddie Mercury would be a fan of this performance
So happy Jacob is now getting the opportunity to perform (and enthrall) big crowds like this! And incredible how he so easily and smoothly adapts his style from small crowds of music geeks to huge audiences. Jacob = love of music!
I love how passionate Jacob is about getting audiences to feel the beauty of communal singing! So many people these days unfortunately see singing as a spectator sport, it's so nice seeing artists like Jacob work to combat that.

It's why I love the Grateful Dead. All of the fans know the lyrics and sing along, and the feeling of singing a song together with thousands of people is just pure magic. Probably the closest feeling to a religious experience that I've ever had. You just feel so close and connected with everyone else in the audience

Collier, indisputable musical genius - another level a lot of the time - stratospheric musical understanding..... However this was emmmm quite underwhelming and unsatisfying musically - a straight cover would've been really interesting - sometimes with truly great tunes less may well be more - it's weird that for such a Harmonic genius that this arrangement is harmonically bereft - certainly I'd prefer listening to the straight original than this. Cannot see this being pulled out in ten years as an example of something lasting. Nice bit of audience participation but musically, quite dull.

@@deeingalaplike Bit salty? Pretty much every defining voice in the world of music (Herbie, Quincy, Metheny, Zimmer, Crosby, Vai and hundreds of others) has heralded Collier as a musical genius and one of the most important musicians of his time. To deny his talent is clearly silly.

Jacob was my absolute favourite from this years festival. been following him for years, so blessed to see him live at last!
The part after this where he turns the whole crowd into a choir blew my mind. Not my taste in music but an exceptional talent

I’m so used to watching him conduct audiences I almost forgot what a talented singer he is too!
Awesome! Jacob is just so amazing live. Such a beautiful soul and his passion really brings people together. When I saw him live, it felt like such a communal experience. Everyone coming together in celebration. It's wonderful. If he is ever playing in your city and you have the chance to see him, I strongly recommend it. :)

Didn't know Jim Carrey was such a great singer and musician...!!!!
What a great showman.
1:23 Find someone to look at you like that!
A lot of criticism on this performance. Now no one is perfect I’ve been saying forever that Jacob is amazing but he lacks that little blue in his life to get that raw emotion like frank ocean for example. But all the persons who are hating on this performance need to take a step back get inside his shoes and try to this you’ll realize just how hard it is even in front 300 persons let alone 30,000 all n all this is an excellent performance good vocals too. And he and hopefully his band will only get better moving on.
Anybwody
Why is egg from Arested Development on his piano.
Jacob no doubt has unreal technical ability and knowledge, but he uses songs as his musical plaything and it strips them of their core emotion and meaning
