Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department responds to a car over the side of a bridge into the water.
JFRD responded to a not so typical call when a motor vehiclist plummeted into the water over the side of a large bridge. It was a cold rainy night in Jacksonville...crews acted quickly, lowered the rescuer down over the side of the bridge to the occupant of the vehicle who was standing on top of the car that was submerged into the water. A hasty harness was then placed on the victim and the rescuer and victim were then raised back up to street level.
Injuries were minimal, but the occupant was transported for observation.
