Ya if it was artist owned I’d leave it as is. But I’m going to have it restored the best I can. Might not be much I can do about the chips on the horns, Jackson guitars have notoriously thick finishes.

These guitars are sick, one of the coolest looking Rhoads models

As an owner of the silver sparkle Matt Tuck signature, I congratulate you on your find! I would pay nearly any amount of money for an ESP MP-600 with the gun inlays. I have a signed poster and I want to hang the pair on each end!

He loves to test out what the companies give him tho, rock stars keep getting guitars from companies to try out and probably he likes them better than his Jackson's.

I have one but the person I bought it off was in really good condition. Some people don’t deserve expensive guitars. Guys please use fret oil change your strings every 3 or so weeks depending on how much you play. No one said your hobby was gonna be cheap

Geez, that's an Ebony fretboard ffs. Previous owner should be shaved and neutered for that.

some years ago i was jackson dealer for my country. I try all jacksons and this model was absolutely extreme. This guitar is good like us models, really

I actually have the black and the silver, and I have that same crack in the same place on my fret board on the silver one. I got them both used and the silver came with the crack. If you can get this thing cleaned up, they’re AMAZING. I love both of mine and want a white one. Deffff keep it white and black 🤘🏼

Ya gonna keep it white. Just repair some of the bigger paint chips on the tips but leave the rest alone. I’ll do a full electronics swap and some different pickups. Not a huge fan of the EMGs.

Haha - yeah I’m gonna repair the crack in the fretboard and repair some of the bigger chips on the tips. Swap the electronics and pickups for some bare knuckles. But other than that it’ll be restored and left as close to original as possible.

I have the silver sparkle one with black bevels. Pretty sick.

@@ScottBynoe so you have the white and black one?? How much did you end up paying for the white sense it had all that damage? I just got mine this past Christmas. Been my dream guitar for over 10 years. Paid 1400 for it 🥴😩

Stripping it doesn't make sense to me, just restore as best you can, a good clean and setup.

I’m actually picking it up tomorrow from the shop. They repaired the fretboard crack and were able to do some work on the chipped tips. I have no idea what it looks like so it’ll be a surprise to me to see how well they did it. The finish on these guitars are so thick and like a plastic, it’s a long process to get it right. I cleaned out the tuners and cleaned/oiled the fretboard before taking to the shop. I might do a pickup swap too. I’ll shoot another video and demo the guitar once it’s all done. No tips on finding. They are pretty hard to come by so you just gotta keep looking. Padge guitars are even harder to find.

Ik you mentioned the silver sparkle and I think there’s one on reverb for like 2k, I don’t really remember

I’ve seen a couple come and go on reverb over the last few months but they are all fairly pricey. My white one is pretty beat up but I got it for pretty cheap.

Do not repaint! Restore it! If you change the paint it wont be worth anything. Specially if Matt dies (i hope he doesnt but just saying). The price will sky rocket. You bought it because the way it looks. If you want to paint a rhodes buy the cheap model and paint it sparkly pink or whatever. Just restore this one.
