    I think your review is the most refreshingly honest non-hyped, non BS review I have found. So many are "this is the best perfect agile boat ever", and I'm really tired of them. I cannot test a boat out. So thanks. Question: With all my gear I weigh about 190lbs, so I am thinking I'll need a large. I've come from a Zen 2 Medium, and it started to feel like the bow was too big and sometimes not loose enough surfing a hole. (BTW I'm not an expert paddler, staying with II and sometimes III.) How would paddling a medium at the upper edge of the weight range affect things? Much appreciated. Stefan Australia

    Appreciate the kind words there. Regarding your question that’s tough for me to answer being at my weight. I can’t find specs on the old zen but it seems it’s about 79 galls and the flow is 77. It is a great surfing creek boat as it has a playboating hull on it. I would say you’re right on the edge of medium and needing a large. I honestly can’t say which one to go for. I would reach out to Wade Harrison as he is about 180. If he felt good in medium go for the smaller boat as your not paddling anything crazy anyway.

    I like my Antix 2 medium and I’m very interested in this boat, considering it as a replacement for my Alpha 75. I’m 175 lbs. naked and the fact that you prefer small boats and consider this a smedium, not so sure. Glad to hear how much you and Wade like the Flow.

    Always worth giving it a demo. If you’re not paddling huge stuff I think you would be fine with the weight.

    Thanks for the review. If it’s on the smaller side in the medium then I’ll have to wait for the large at 210lbs.

    Yes I would absolutely wait for the large at that weight.

    Hi Matt. Is the Flow in the same category, sort of playfull creeker, as the Indira or Reactr, or are they vastly different? I've always gone for Jackson boats but the Pyrahna and Dagger have me wondering what would be a good boat to grow with progression wise as a intermediate still getting to grips with G3?

  • @DownstreamV

    @DownstreamV

    I would not say the same category but they arent vastly different either. The flow is sporty because it is short mostly. It actual "feels" wider because the width stays through the bow where the indra narrows out. The Indra is more capable on class 5+ than the flow just due to the length and size. For what you are paddling the flow is more than capable but the indra and reactr would work also. I would always take a boat with a more usable stern than one without for my personal preferance.

    I'm set on getting a Flow soon but torn between what size... I'm 5'10" and I hover around 145-150 lbs. I'm smack in the middle of the weight range for either boat really but I don't wanna feel too big in it or lose the sportiness I keep hearing about, having to muscle it around. I just sold a Mamba 7.6 that I loved and was in a Z3 Medium for my first boat and I felt a bit small in that boat... any guidance or help is appreciated! I'm in AR where we don't have the luxury of demoing, at least not often unfortunately

    Z3 medium is huge. I usually paddle small size boats and the medium flow fits the bill as a perfect small/medium. I would definitely get a medium if you are wanting to paddle some harder whitewater. It would feel small compared to a medium zen3 for sure.

    No clue if I had to guess I’d say around 85-90. It’s a smaller boat so I would expect it to be lower than a usual large. That’s a total guess though.

    How would you compare this with a LL RMX 76?

  • @DownstreamV

    @DownstreamV

    7 ай бұрын

    Both are great designs. Unfortunately LL plastic and outfitting is bottom of the barrel so I would choose the flow. I had to warranty a 76 after one use. The rmx is a bit narrower in the bow though but they paddle fairly similar I would say.

    Give it more volume. The length is fine for micro creeks. And do not start the stern rocker so far up under the seat, and you will be fine.
