I just want to say to Eric or whoever genius came up with the happy seat. You've made my passion so much better. For a 63 year old this thing rocks. I paddle all day now w/o a ton of extra strain. looks like the Dagger Showdown with a little more volume.... I learned in the showdown I'm sure this boat is amazing to learn in.

Love my antiX. I learned to WW kayak in this boat. One con it doesn't track fast, but in fast moving water not an issue. Nice hybrid boat for river running and play. I'm 5' 10" and 185 lbs and medium antiX is nice fit.

First thought is a super modernized version of what a Sleek sought to be but never quite was. Looks really nice

I actually like the idea of this, it's not like a a normal creeker or a river runner, it's the best of both.

How is the foot room in this boat?

Looking into getting a new boat. Been looking at the Axiom. But want more foot room. This Antix boat reminds me of my old Wave Sport Sleek. But with more comfort, and a planning hull. I loved my old Sleek. It was the boat that took me from easy class 3 to minor class 5s. So I will be curious to see what this boat demo's like before I lay out any cash. To bad there isn't a local Jackson dealer in my area anymore.

"not a throwback design". Really? Have Jackson heard of the Dagger Outlaw? Outlaw has a plaining hull and a squirty stern. Only real difference is the volume of the nose.. Its a throwback design, which I'm not complaining about. We need more of these boats.

So wait... does it have a slicey stern?

does anyone have hands on with this boat that can answer a quick question? is this boat good for teaching kayaking from? How is it for in boat rescues etc? I want to buy it but do not know if it is a good platform to instruct from?

Not a learner as im sure you are aware of now I think. Lol. I have the L and that back will grab water fast. Have to lean forward when paddling or will be turned around going backwards Haha. Trying to peel out is harder to as it will grab and flip if not skilled enough. I know I'm having a hard time

But dagger axiom has also low volume bow (bow and stern balanced) and is not so good for boofing. Antix has little bit more from creek boat I think.

WhistlingMushroom the axiom actually does have a decent volume in the bow and is great for boofing, maybe not as good as the antix but close enough

I tested the antix and the axiom. Antix has more volume on the bow but it makes it also slower then the Axiom. For heavy WW the antix is better I think

Seems similar to the old perception whiplash..

great boat for a pro, but for an average class 2/3 boater, that slicy stern is going to make every rapid feel like a class 5 - please make a shorter 'river play' boat for river running and surfing without a slicy stern - it will sell well - 99%+ of all kayakers can't cartwheel anyway

So--when you talking about the boat, WHY ARE YOU SHOWING ME FACES????

Jan Chris Just took mine down the class 5 Wenatchee Fucking AWESOME! It's wide, and it at times feels like a saucer on the water, but you can play the hell out of it all the way! I do recommend sizing up on your paddle by one size when river running. Your "height standard" size is perfect for play boating it though!
