Several guitars have that bodyshape, Kramer voyager, Dean, Washburn I had the Kramer one in 1987. I love that shape.My Kramer one had a double locking tremolo floyd rose.

I’m not a Gus G fan, but it’s a sweet axe. I really like the one knob and switch, nice and simple layout. Would listen to you play over Gus G any day.

Looks awesome, sounds great in your hands. I'm a bit worried about how close the volume knob is the strings, sold my SBMM JP60 over that

I was really tempted but I got a snow white Charvel Desolation Star instead. The floyd, EMGs, and 24 frets were a little more familiar. Ultimately the Gus was too close to my Explorer in specs, but damn, I may change my mind and pick one up. That tone 😍

Hi Cameron and Star X owners: How's the tuning stability of this guitar, particularly when you go nuts with string bending?

Mine is on the way! did you change the strings from .09 to 010? did you have to file the nut for that?

Greetings Cameron from California, can you please explain how you do that picking run @5:25-5:32? I'm trying to learn this pattern for Gus G fearlesss and its got me in a rut. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard to explain in words, I'll probably have to do video on it in the meantime. You in essence ascend through a 3 note per string scale shape and then go back a string.. Stay tuned. ;)

lol, still like the body of my old hod rodded Hondo H1 better "so ugly its cute" kinda thing. something kinda neat cool about it is the neck backside (thru body) bumps twice as thick at the 12th fret a natural bump stop for your thumb, cutaway at 24th, ya can't miss! if you stumble into one worth doing the work to, they're pretty good little stage axes.

Awesome job cam......if you ever get a chance to try a KNAGG’s SSC1 which is Steve Stevens guitar but the full production model JUMP AT IT I think you will like it.....hey you can use mine....if you guard it with your life LOL.

They are they always will be they have new ones this year in the custom shop which is Bill they painted them back later in the early 80s when They sold them

He used Duncan distortions on those. They're available on the Charvel So Cal models. :)

He doesnt. He uses either all alt picking or a combination of legato and alt picking, or sweeping, he doesnt use economy picking. ( been anilayzing his playing for a real long time becuse he basically has the sound and playing style i work to achieve)i hope this helps you

Of course it has sustain... It doesn't have a sustain-sucking tremolo on it.

Jackson ripping off Charvel design guitar that guitar dates back way back with Michaelcharvel if anybody doesn’t know his company burn down this year with the California fires him and his son are making some awesome guitars that’s a shame don’t know if they’re going to restart or what
