His accent is pretty toned down and easy to understand, middle class posh almost. A working class glaswegian or dundonian accent or doric (far north east) accent are very hard for even other Scottish people to understand. I speak fast on purpose so other English speakers (especially foreigners) can't understand me, because I can't speak a second language 😂. It's nice having a wee secret code your pals can understand, but nobody else can.
Wow, his accent really is beautiful!
It’s the best accent and he’s gorgeous

I've never seen this actor before - he looks like Sean, my _boyfriend_ of a decade (even the same haircut & colour), whose background is Scottish, but he was born in Canada, so he talks like I do. Now I'm going to look up this guy's work.
I have always loved Scottish accent. So musical and charming. My mum-in-law, who was the kindest, most generous mother of all mothers - bless her soul- had a very gentle one. But Glaswegian, particularly when spoken at lightening speed, is still one of the most challenging accents that I struggle to understand.

I love the Scottish accent
Slow Horses is one of the best tv shows in years.
Scottish accent is beautiful! Lived in Glasgow for 6 months
It's a beautiful accent. I love the sound of different Scottish accents and I do understand it, but I know many people who struggle with it. I often wonder if they're really listening. Life would be very different if the Houses of Parliament were much further north than London. We're far too centred on London and the South-East to really be a United Kingdom. No wonder the North and Scotland (and other geographical "extremities" of the UK) don't get their fair share.
He's right I absolutely love Scottish and Irish accents I have a very British accent and I very often get asked to say bottle of water 😅
Scottish accent is the best! He should use it all the time :)

I love Scottish accents, I don't know why people have a difficult time understanding someone with one
It’s a great accent but I’m a wee bit biased. My parents and all my extended family are Scottish but my folks emigrated to the USA. I was born in Philadelphia but when we visited with family, I would get cheek if I attempted in front of my family. By the time I was 14 and beyond I started to go into Edinburgh and practice on tourist who would often approach me for directions or questions. By the time I was 21 and after on visits, I could use it with Scottish folk but they could ken that I was’nae a true Scot. I have also inherited my Gran’s habit of educating my fellow Americans that Scotch is a whiskey and it is NEVER used to label a Scottish person or anything that is Scottish. It’s a very melodic accent and it helps that most of the Scottish people I met are always poking fun at everything. It’s a great perspective to get through the ups and downs of life.

A wee bit. I love that.
I love nothing more than talking to another scot whilst surrounded by people who aren't Scottish and then watching their faces as me and the other scot just decide to let the accent flow and see if they can keep up. I don't think people realise how hard it is to say 'yes' instead of 'aye' so someone understands you. The whole time in my head I'm thinking that I sound like a pure bampot. But 'aye' is just the tip of the iceberg.
