Their continued presence at the Nest(although in single fashion) indicates J& S are having trouble getting over such a 2 yr no hatch situation. When they do joint efforts like bringing Nest limbs to a tree they would never nest in or J here bringing token long twigs for her nest--they are both troubled by the past---and still working their way thru it. Their immense bond between them is not in doubt nor their Nature driven yearning to Nest and bring new life to their surroundings. Here's hoping our Fav. E Pair turns that Big Event failure corner and resumes their normal off yr. Eagle schedule.

The best thing for me is to look at the top of their heads -Jackie is so much flatter than shadows and she looks kind of fierce to me. The other thing I look for is around their necks. The white feathers seem to be a very neat line on shadow but there’s like a couple haphazard white feathers on Jackie. Oh boy I’m obsessed with these two lol I hope that helps. Just enjoy them and have a beautiful day.

I've also noticed, in close ups, Jackie has a couple of black specks, while Shadow has none.
