Fantastic! It desperately needs one.

Exactly my point with all of these, regardless of make, the DC charging makes it useless for me. If I go away for two weeks, I need it to charge while driving at 40 or 50 amp like a Redarc dcdc charger. Maybe they need a contract with Redarc and Anderson. 😉

I 110% agree, you can't just rely on solar, especially in the southern latitudes.

10A @ 144% of capacity. (whatever that rating is called) equates to about 7Ah which might not even keep up with some large portable fridge/ freezers

Fridges usually cycle, so when the fridge is off and the battery is still charging, so that should be fine. Though, I take your point, it should charge faster of 12v

Did it do that step down charge cycle with it set to fast charge in the app ?

Yes, I always run everything flat out and see what happens! 😁

Looked at these type of units over the past week but the ability (or inability) to recharge from a car is too poor if even existent. Went with just a battery and DCDC charger and will build what i need instead. Not as convenient as these type of units but better value (like everything, you pay for convenience)

I understand, jackery's next iteration will have an Anderson and hopefully be able to both charge and discharge as an acceptable rate.

Nice video. I'm seriously unimpressed by the product though. Thanks for demonstrating the exaggerated claims made for it. Having them give a $2,040 discount merely shows how greatly over-priced it is, because I simply don't believe that they're not still making a profit at the discounted price.

@@SirFuseable as you can imagine, I get quite a few offers of bits and pieces to review, everything from this Jackery to an underwater electric swimming device! If there's something of interest to me and hopefully the audience, I say yes. This combines my interests in electronics and camping accessories. Though most are not even close to camping and 4WDing, so you won't see me donning a pair of Speedos and using the electric dive thing anytime soon!

@@trickymon thanks, always interested in someone else's take on a product. I know Jackery have been marketing on KZread a bit of late, and I always like to check out innovative products. It has some good points and some things that need changing, I just hope if someone's already in the market and looking to buy one, I can provide some solid data for them to make an informed decision.
