Lithium power stations keep getting more and more impressive, and today we're checking out the latest Jackery portable power station, the Solar Generator 2000 Plus which has some of the most impressive specs I've ever seen. 2 things these devices could improve on, add Anderson plugs for secure connection and the an inbuilt DC-DC charger or the ability to accept charge from one. Cheers

Just bought one of these on a whim because I wanted to prepare for hurricane season. This is the best review I've seen so far. I wish he touched on the expansion batteries.

Wow, the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series sounds amazing! Its massive capacity, fast recharging, and waterproof technology make it a perfect companion for outdoor adventures or home backup power. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in need of reliable and versatile power supply.

It certainly looks like a great unit and does everything you'd ever want from a portable power source. If I added up all I've spent on setting up and refining my home generator back up, car and camping solar and battery system(s) I'd probably have spent what they're asking for these! And I'm still using AGM batteries. As Neil from the Young Ones said - Heavy, man.

These units are actually making more sense now days with their compact portability & versatility, & while they maybe pricey it costs a lot to set up a canopy system that isn’t so versatile. There main downfall for the Australian market is a lack of any Anderson connections or ability to fast charge from vehicle without using another inverter.

Your presentation style is great 👍 ( I’m the guy at the show that told you to put wheels on your camper. 😀😀)

Just a shame they take 30 odd hours to charge off a vehicle. You basically need a vehicle mounted inverter just to charge it efficiently.

it sounds more sutable for tent camping then 4wd camping, due to the non Anderson plug input/output

Thanks for the really informative video. Can the unit charge and discharge at the same time?

  • @explorebound

Yep sure can! At the 07:09 mark in the vid you can see what the screen displays while charging off AC power while the inverter is also running at the same time for reference. The only downside is that it looses the ability to calculate runtime as it was displaying 99.9H remaining even though I was consuming 1830W and only charging 400W. Hope this helps. 🙂

and if you use a generator you can run them for hours. its just a battery that needs to be charged and the power comes out faster than going in. good for night time i will admit

2k watts! 29kgs! I want that capacity ... but it's a definite no to the weight. I struggle with 10kg and I have no hope of lifting 15kg! So, still looking.

Yeah the weight is definitely up there, an unfortunate side effect of utilizing LiFePO4 lithium technology. There are certainly lighter options on the market that utilize either NCM or Li-ion technology which provide the same 2,000+ Wh but weigh a lot less, you just won't get the same longevity.
