Ladies & gentlemen, time to discover the many eras, bands, and musical quirks of the legendary Jack White 💙 PS, sorry for the mistake of calling Jack Lawrence's band The Longhorns, it's the Greenhornes. Special thank you to Hannah for bringing my vision to life via editing, be sure to like this video & share it out with another fan of Jack! www.patreon.com/ARTV

Meg White`s drumming is SOOO underrated! It`s simple honest and primal. She has something so many drummers could only dream of. HER OWN STYLE. She does not try to emulate anyone. It`s not intricate, flashy or complex but that was never the point. The whole point of The White Stripes was the liberation of limitation.

The White Stripes would not have been what it was without her. She was half of what made them unique. They wouldn't have made it as far as they did with a traditional drummer.

I love so much of what Jack White does. I know it was a while ago but one thing I really loved was during the Icky Thump era he made a point to tour ALL of Canada, coast to coast; even places that typically don't get concerts. It made it easier to see him perform. I find a lot of bands, especially when touring in Canada, only go to Toronto and maybe Vancouver. It's frustrating. Even when he toured solo he visited a lot of places that don't get a lot of acts. This is coming from someone who lives in a big city in Canada, but because it's not Toronto or Vancouver we get missed a lot.

Anything Jack White does is freaking amazing and unlike anything else I’ve heard. The dude is amazing. But how came to find and love The Dead Weather is interesting. Before I became a huge White Stripes / White fan. I’d become a huge fan of The Kills. Instantly, Alison Mosshart became a favourite of mine. I loved her voice and the style of the band. THEN, when I checked out all of White’s other projects, I found out the Dead Weather is made of both Jack White AND Alison Mosshart, and instantly I was a huge fan. There’s no one quite like Jack White.

It seems healthy to channel different ideas into different bands. To limit your creativity to just one band is what's weird, and bands often break up due to tension when one member forces them into a new direction rather than starting a side project.

Jack has so many projects and bands going because he has more sheer fucking talent than at least half the popular artists out there combined. If, like me, you have stopped watching SNL years ago, you might have missed out on catching Jack filling in a couple weeks ago Jack recently had to pinch hit SNL when the musical act for that night could possibly have COVID. I am going to tell you, listening to Jack that show, was so fucking insane. Let me give you the gift a a couple links: kzread.info/dash/bejne/onxhy7Gah9ipj9Y.html - This is my favorite performance of Lazaretto, I listened to it obsessively for a week. It's so incredible. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJyClq9tkbabYLg.html Ball and Biscuit/Don't Hurt Yourself This whole year I have been listening to a lot of Jack White and Tom Petty. 2020 has been the shittiest year in my existence. Jack fully engages my brain no matter how many times I hear him. KZread is so brilliant to give someone like me access to so many live performances, because every live performance is worth listening to. Tom Petty is balm. Tom has always soothed my soul, and gets straight to that spot where you get a lump in your throat. I didn't make a conscious decision that I'd be just listening to them, I just think my wounded psyche loaded up what my soul needed. Seriously, listen to that Lazaretto performance.
