They are pretty celebrated, and there are contemporaries to them that are considered some of the greatest (The Strokes, Linkin Park) so I don't think there's a bias here.

The cruise ship....thats so awesome...best thing about music, if you do it right, you can live forever with just one song.

There needs a movie starring Jack Black and Jack White. Called Black and White, where it's about two heavy metal musicians who duke it out in an amish town where only Black and White outfits are allowed and the winner makes the choice of what color the whole town will wear.

@@artisdying my perspective is that he cared very little about fitting into the night show host mold. He openly talked trash about David Letterman, his boss, and relied on absurdity for comedy. Some people like this.

This interview made me so happy and I cried laughing at some of it.

The horn playing the riff is one of the most foreboding things I’ve ever heard.

It’s definitely an iconic riff. We’d all be lucky to come up with something that ubiquitous. I also love how Jack White has poured his success back into things to create a scene where he does the things he likes in the way he likes. That’s a great way to have a long, steady career. He seems like he’d be very cool to work with.

Man I’d love to hang out at a ballgame with Jack White and Conan O’Brien. Hell, let’s bring Andy too.

Remember watching that video back in the day and getting goosebumps. That song is something and he is a real artist.

"Seven Nation Army" plays everytime Real Madrid presents their player when we're celebrating a trophy at the Santiago Bernabeu... WHICH IS VERY OFTEN. It syncs so well with Real Madrid, as they are The Whites, and they almost always wear adidas with the three stripes. Also, a Seven Nation Army wouldn't hold Real Madrid Back.

I didn't even know that we did that in Hamburg... but I love it. Right on!

About the “out of the crotch”: is a very apt description. Led Zeppelin did this too for example. When I listen to Jimmy Page with Bonzo behind, and Jack White, I always get a feeling like when you go down a rollercoaster and you get that weird sensation from the crotch. It kind of grabs me down there. Sorry if this is a weird comment.

Cant freaking wait..... a friend, G-Money had an extra ticket, posted it on Fakebook and I was the first one to snatch it up... post was only up for 30 seconds.... I am going with two legends, G Patrick Marino aka G-Money and Ron Perry.... 3rd freaking ROW!!!!! ...when I am not watching their shows, the last show I went to with these guys, was .38 Special, Southern Rock from Jacksonville Florida, in the Florida Theater, HOME TOWN ROCK-N-ROLL......

When he talks about fans not even singing the lyrics but chanting the rhythm.... Take me Out by Franz Ferdinand..... First words that come to your mind are "So if you're lonely,..." after that the lyrics fade and the rhythm takes over.

One of the first songs I would put on my 64 megabyte MP3 players.

The White Stripes came about at a very essential part of my teenage years, and I am forever grateful for that. *edit* I forgot to mention, Late Nite with Conan O'Brien was also essential viewing for my mom and I. She always watched it after she got home from working as a waitress, and l would beg her to let me stay up to watch it with her. It became a nightly ritual for us both to sit down, have chocolate milk, and laugh ourselves silly. Conan was also the first late night host to have the White Stripes perform. 🌈🙌 *The More You Know*

I used to interrupt the engineer I was assigned to. I was his technician. Seriously smart guy. Every time he would test a power module with the oscilloscope, I would overlap Seven Nation Army and cause an earworm. Hypnotized by the beat. On one occasion we got so into it, we went into the sound absorbtion room and yelled it out as best we could remember. So weird when there is no echo, eerie. Most of the sound doesn't even reach your own ears. "I'm yelling! I know! Me Too! I can barely hear you! We got so much done after that. The concentration was yah😃🤙
