He argues that Jack the Ripper was an Irish-American celebrity doctor, Francis Tumblety, well known to journalists in the United States and Canada. A man implicated in both the Jack the Ripper killings and, twenty-five years before, the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. Incredibly, Tumblety was arrested over the shooting of America's most beloved president in 1865 and the Ripper killings in 1888.
