Jack and Mel what love should be.

Personally, I don't have a negative reaction when 2 consenting adults have sex; however why did two consulting, Jack and Charmaine ever had a conversation about safe sex/birth control. I still think that Charmaine got pregnant the second she thought Jack being interested in Mel. I know this is fiction, but this pregnancy came up on as a very convenient time for Charmaine, besides she had no right to tell Mel that as long as she there, Jack could not or would not choose her.

Virgin Rivers is the best show on TV. Love it can't wait to season 3. I love the chemistry between Jack and male I love hope and doc and all the others.

I just need to keep saying that this pregnancy is too convenient/just in time for Charmaine to try to keep Jack.

I think Charmaine held onto the hope that Jack would change his mind about having a real relationship with her. But she didn't really think he'd find another woman until Mel came along. That's when she started acting possessive and crazy. As a woman YOU KNOW when a man that you've been sleeping with for years is serious for you or not. She was clearly in denial. What could quick fix that? Pregnancy!

To me, this pregnancy was planned, not what Charmaine said about "I did not think I could get pregnant," she stopped taking birth control pills or something else, but if she and Jack were having sex for two years, it would have made sense for sense for her to gotten pregnant, but she got pregnant just when she fell anxious about Jack leaving her for Mel.

In my opinion Mel needs to telling Jack that Charmaine was the reason she went to LA, by telling Mel that Jack wouldn’t go back to her as long as she was here. She knew Mel was an honorable person and wouldn’t stay. But Jack and Mel’s love was just too strong to deny.

I also blame Jack for keeping having sex with Charmaine and making her to believe that perhaps he would marry her. he told Mel that Charmaine is not his girlfriend, but he doesn't stop her calling herself his girlfriend or to stop chasing him around.

Love it!

Jack says that he does not have a relationship w/ Charmaine, that is a "casual thing". However, he apparently doesn't tell her not to 1. follow him around and show up when she knows he is somewhere, i.e. Hope's house, or 2. let her know straight up that he is not her boyfriend, etc 3. if he is falling in love with Mel, does he think he can still have Charmaine on the side? therefore he needs to take a stand w/ Charmaine.

I agree with everyone about Charmaine. I also believe that its not Jack's kids but someone else's. I think she had a one night stand and got her pregnant and told jack that its his. That's also why she didn't want to tell him in person. Instead she wrote a letter. Mel and Jack 4ever!!! They belong with each other!

Same, I actually watched the show a second time to see if there were some clues that I might not see or get at first regarding that. But really strange that they've been sleeping for two years and she gets pregnat at that moment. Maybe a one night stand when she saw that Jack was falling for Mel. OH HOW MUCH DO I HATE CHARMAINE?? 😡 I hate the character so much not even sure I would like the person playing her.

Unpopular opinion, but I’ve been team Charmaine from day 1. Jack wasn’t in touch with his emotions and running from them. Charmaine was the only one who stuck by his side while he sorted them out. She was so patient she didn’t even push him to make their relationship official for two years. Then Jack chases a girl who doesn’t want him all while avoiding his responsibility to her. He wasn’t too disgusted by her to have sex with her even while Mel was in town…he got the girl he had sex with for two years pregnant and he should have made things work between them. Mel wasn’t even in a position to date either. Just so messed up. My heart hurt for Charmaine the entire series.
