Dempsey, a little German, a little Cherokee Indian, and alot of Irishman, and one hundred 💯 percent serious bad ass... Jack was a Legend when he was still alive, a Legend so large it rivaled that of Louis or Ali.

When Dempsey was alive, the Jews didn't have a Homeland, they were spread out over the World. So they were at that time considered only a Religion, that's why I didn't include them. Now that the US helped them to get back Israel, and they have a Home Country once again, they are both a Religion and a Nationality. Dempsey was proud of all of his Heritages, and rightfully so. I'm an old Boxing fanatic, been around the game for 62 years. There was an old saying back in the day when it came to Heavyweights, it was Dempsey, Louis, and Marciano, they were right, only in the wrong order, here's my take, Marciano, Louis, and Dempsey. Followed by Ali, then Tyson to round off the top 5. But that's just my take, and I know I'm in the Ballpark...

What about Baer? That's not him at 0:09, it's Willard. If you're saying he was in the top 5, I disagree. Max had one of the hardest right hands in ring history. Had the punch to beat Louis, but not the heart, he was scared of Joe and certainly fought that way during their fight. Baer killed at least two men in the ring, and he also killed a Brahma Bull with one punch between the eyes. Definitely one of the hardest punchers in ring history. That Bull was on his ranch in Livermore California, and was witnessed by news people, and sports writers, as well as other spectators. Max had a brother named Buddy, he was the Heavyweight Wrestling Champion. He also fought and got KOed by Louis. And yes the Baer brothers were Jewish ✡️ Max wore the star of David on his Boxing trunks...

Watch how Dempsey fires some shots at Willard, with none boxing like swinging punches. Willard claimed that Dempsey had something clutched in his gloved hand. ie an iron bolt. Considering the damage to Willard's face, I don't think its unfeasible.

That is a very telling point in favor of the semi knuckleduster/spike being used that I have never seen made before in a lot of reading in this subject. It has always impressed me how soon after the beating at the 'hands' of Jack that Jess Willard was complaining he had been defeated by gangsterism. It was only days. Then again, Willard did not take the bout seriously enough and failed to employ professional cornerman: had he done so they could have insisted the bell be rung for the second round while Dempsey was absent and Willard could have won by forfeit for the clear violation of the rules. I have seen it suggested that Dempsey bolting as if he had just robbed a liquor store. And there was a massive bet by Dempsey's manager on a first round KO, which seems odd considering the size disparity.

This is the same Jack Dempsey that pulled out of a fight with Sam Langford and got his ribs broken by John Lester Johnson? If Sam Langford didn't easily destroy Harry Wills who he fought 20x or more, Jack Dempsey damn sure would not have done it.

Tougher than Tyson Fury, yeah. But Mike Tyson was tough. Go watch the Tyson v Douglas fight. It took 10 rounds of constant pounding from Douglas to put Mike down, which also demonstrated Mike's ability to take a punch.
