this ad used to play after the firday/saturday night movies when i was a 90s kid. such great nostalgia! For me, it meant to time to brush my teeth and go to bed.

Gives me nostalgia of staying up late and watching beavis and butthead

It was occasionally on Channel 9 during Letterman

I was in that commercial the guy in the cowboy hat this is the first time I ever saw it!

Really! I have to say.. I find these two ads quite an enigma. I keep reading they were 'Australian' ads. I assume that means made for an Australian audience... idk. They seem really well made just for a couple of ads (there is another similar one, but out in the country somewhere) that were only shown during Beavis and Butthead late at night? Were these shown in America? Are you Australian or American?

@@nathyatta I'm a hybrid British/Canadian/American but this was made in Los Angeles back in a time when hard alcohol ads were not even allowed to be shown anywhere in the U.S. This was made for Europe but was then later sold for Aussie TV. I didn't take the $100 bill they were offering to allow future use of my image so they had to pay me again a big, surprise and welcome chunk!

@@thelaststarpilot Thanks for that. It makes more sense now it was shown in Europe. It is just not in the style of how ads are made in Australia at all.... and I am sure they were only shown once a week during Beavis and Butthead which was on about 11:30... it was kinda weird as I thought these ads were really cool... Deserved to be shown more... What do you mean you got a big chunk later one? Do they still show it somewhere?

@@nathyatta Back then if you didn't take a small payout to keep using your filmed image they had to renegotiate with your agent a new buyout each time. I would never take that payout so each time it sold to a new country I would get a pretty big check. I don't think it works the same way now. I wish this aired in the States because it does seem a bit out of place everywhere else!

This must be why New Orleans Jazz moved to Utah

I remember these ads were always on during Bevis and Butthead.

That's really weird that they would have an ad for alcohol during a show watched mostly by under 21s.
